Incoming...bit of blue
Hi all - thought I'd share as picked it up today when in the window at the AD. It's the Apollo 17 45th anniversary, and I'm not sure I've seen one on here yet.I love it. Not usually a fan of gold, but it's quite subtle and the blue is dark most of the time and comes to life in the daylight.The ceramic dial and bezel are great, and while it has sapphire it's nicely done.The adjustable bracelet is the nicest I have got (including my Rolexes) and made fitting a doddle. With all the upticks in spec, I think it was pretty good value although very little discount was available.The box is the usual omega thing, and is a thing of beauty albeit it will be seeing the back of my cupboard....Lots of pics - hope you like. Nautilus family
Everything is so simple, up until it's complicated. The Nautilus does both, simple and complicated, with aplomb, in my opinion. Grainy iphone photo in poor light, but....Smitten and slightly obsessed...the 5726 arrived yesterday to nestle in the middle...

Rolex Warranty Card
Very quick question regarding Rolex's warranty policy. I have a GMT Master II from 2016 and I just noticed something that might concern the voidance of Rolex's warranty.While the date of purchase is written in ultra fine point black pen, the name of purchaser is written in thick sharpie(looks like it was written with a white board marker). As a result, one might think that the name of purchaser was not filled together with the date at the time of purchase. Would this cause RSC to deny warranty claims for my watch in case I need to present my warranty card for service?Or would RSC not pay attention to such trivial detail as long as the warranty card is active? Thanks in advance!

The beginning of the end?
Not for the first time I’m hearing and reading that Rolex are looking to position themselves in the Uber luxury segment with reduced production likely to increase pricing thru demand. Currency fluctuations aside we haven’t seen a price increase for a number of years but the trend is there for all to see with preowned prices and if the reduced output strategy is only Half true I wonder if the end game may well be in sight for many more.Of course one could assume that others will fill the void, Omega ,JLC and IWC etc etc will no doubt step up and their watches will in turn increase exponentially until they too are symbols of ultimate luxury. Of course Nomos and other entry level watches will then fill that void and become the sought after brand of tomorrowI admit i may be being a little bit pessimistic but in an odd sort of way i’m largely done with Rolex for myself and any future buys will be gifts for my wife and daughter. Wife gave the go ahead on the Skydweller
Wife just gave me the go ahead to get a Skydweller. I am thinking TT with the white dial. I love the Stainless with the Blue but I already have a YG Sub with the Blue dial. Any opinions?
