Time For A Classic: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo Watch
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is one of the most classic watches out there still being made today. Easily up there in some top 10 list, if one was ever to be established (note to self - work on top 10 classic watches list). Since its creation way back when (maybe the 1930s) it has been an iconic watch for Jaeger-LeCoultre. One of the most simple and classic, but still interesting Reverso models being sold today is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duo. The original Reverso watches did not have dual faces. One side was metal to protect the watch during polo matches. When Jaeger-LeCoultre really revived the Reverso watch, they decided to put the other side of the watch to good use, and give the timepiece two faces. As such, you can flip around the watch to get another side. In this instance each side has a different watch face design, each showing its own time. The internal manually wound mechanical movement powers both faces, that each give a different time. A Look At Cartier's New Maison de Metiers dArts In La Chaux-de-Fonds
If, somewhere out there, there is a harmonious valley in which watch-lovers can meditate, if there is a monastery in which they can discover inner peace – then Cartier’s new Maison de Métiers d’Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds is likely to be that Shangri-La. It’s a place where one can admire and concentrate on the meticulous effort that makes the dials of haute horology.Cartier has transformed an old barn into a state-of-the-art watchmaking facility, showroom and greeting space for guests. In doing so, they’ve fulfilled the manufacture’s goal of providing a space that blends the company’s rich history with its current innovative watchmaking techniques. 2 OF 15 The ground floor sets the mood in blending the old and the new. It’s a fusion of 18th century limestone, wood, and period furniture that provides a conversational environment for visitors. The main lobby that leads to the other floors of the facility is a modern struc
Hard Choices.... and wait
I am in a big dilemma at the moment, I am a big fan of the 5980/1R. However, right now I have only a 55K budget that I can spare, which would get me a 5711/1R but I dont really like 5711 because its too thin for my liking. But with my current budget I can afford two watches that I like, the daydate 40 and RO 15450OR just dont adore them like I do the 5980/1R. Should I wait and save up to buy the 5980/1R which would take me a few months or just go with the other 2 watches that I like instead? I would love to hear some opinions. I currently only have a gold daytona(is variety/quantity really important?) FYI- I am only 21 and go to college(I earn from joint business with my mom) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Patek waiting lists
Hi everyone Ive decided what I would like as my first Patek, a 5712R.having visited the salon in geneva and London over the last two months Ive learnt there is a year waiting list for this model. The London salon took my name and contact details but no deposit. Im just a bit worried after a year I won't hear anything, is there anyway to guarantee that you are definitely on some sort of list. There must be others putting their name down so surely this list and wait time should increase in length everyday?!essentially my question is what is the best way to ensure you can buy/order one?
PP5167 Slow-mo movement clip
I was playing around with my iPhone 6+ today and found the slow motion feature of the video camera. Pretty cool! Wanted to share a quick clip of my PP5167 324 S C movement at 240 FPS. Quality was lossed when uploaded to YouTube - but still neat!.youtube/watch?v=-EX7Ad2ksIs
