Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Aerofusion The Watch Gallery Limited Edition
Exclusivity breeds desire, or so it seems Hublot are hoping. The Classic Fusion Chronograph Aerofusion model is a collaboration with the Watch Gallery and only 25 will be made. It is the fifth collaboration of its kind and the second with Hublot, following the dual release of their Classic Fusion Automatic and Chronograph models last year. As well as Hublot, Bremont, Zenith, and Bell & Ross have had the Watch Gallery treatment. So why did LVMH-owned Hublot get another call so soon? Maybe it has something to do with the sheer size of Hublot watches and how well they become a canvas for design.Hublot can be a tough brand to figure out. The watches are styled to grab your attention, with a great emphasis on presence and color. But every so often they bring out a timepiece that has a subtler tone and it really works. If you're a classic dress watch fan and extol the virtues of a Jaeger LeCoultre or a Vacheron Constantin above all others, you might find even the most discreetly design
Auction Watch: Sothebys April Auction Shows Tepid Results, But Doesnt Lose Ground
The following timepiece auction analysis post is by Chris Meisenzahl. He is a long-time watch enthusiast and daily Speedmaster Pro wearer. He blogs at amateureconblog.blogspotwatches-dealer/ [update 01-04-2013 - his blog moved to?pretenseofknowledgewatches-dealer/] and can be followed on Twitter at twitterwatches-dealer/speedmaster.On April 13th, 2011 Sotheby's held its Important Watches and Clocks auction in New York. This auction offered a great number of items that are interesting for various reasons: antique clocks, dress watches, and some sporty models. Let's take a look at a few of the pieces available. After flipping through the list one of the first to catch my eye was lot #116, a 2005 Zenith from the Thierry Nataf era. The watch is a titanium automatic diver's chronograph from 2005. Sometimes when I wonder if Nataf's regime was real or a dream, I see a piece like this and remember. This piece interests me not because of the watch itself, per se. But rather to see how these Na
Which AP would you travel with?
Hi guys I want to pick your brain a bit. I'm traveling to Italy for two weeks and as a watch freak I'm more concerned with what watch I'm taking than where we going 😂😂😂😂. I slimmed down my collection and now I only have two AP's, a 5711 (safe queen... saving it for my son) and my beater 😂😂 a DDII. So the question is what watch would you take? The 26470OR? 26401? or the Rollie? by the way I'm never been out there. I go everywhere with my 44RG, Mexico, Vegas, New York, San Diego, TJ, even East LA and nobody cares 😂😂😂 I feel like the Rolex draws more attention than the ceramic. Anyways any feedback is greatly appreciated 👍🏻 or maybe I should just buy a 44SS Ceramic for my trip !🤔🤔😈😈😂😂Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New 5712/1A
So I finally pulled the trigger after years of wanting one. I purchased from Govberg, I highly recommend them - it was a perfect buying experience. My personal preference is the 5712 over the 5711, and the current price differential made the 5712 a very easy choice. It will be interesting to see what Patek has planned for the 40th anniversary of the Nautilus...
I will NEVER buy a Rolex.......
.....or so I thought. This is my first post to the forum as I just joined. I started collecting Omega watches about four years ago. I was always one to say I would never buy a Rolex. Rolex is worn by everyone. Rolex is too expensive. Rolex is overrated. So about a week ago I bought my first Rolex. For some reason I developed an infatuation with the submariner over the past six months. I was clearly wrong over the past four years about Rolex. It is impossible for me to overstate how much I love this 114060. I am big on NATO straps but this watch's bracelet is so comfortable I refuse to use a NATO for now.Long story short...... wow I am I impressed with this watch. There is clearly a reason why this is considered so iconic. I am not going to down the road of which watch I love the most, but the new submariner is really something. This will not be the last Rolex I buy.
