My First Grail Watch: Patrick Bek
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we are speaking with Patrick Bek, one of the founders of Uniform Wares. Read on to learn about his first watch, what he sees in the classic Rolex Oyster case, and what particular Rolex reference he hopes to pick up some day.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Patrick Bek: I am a co-founder of the British watch brand Uniform Wares. We create watches with an emphasis on character and distinction through intelligent design, not branding. The collection is the result of our design and development background, underpinned by the manufacturing expertise provided by our collaborative international factories. We sell via our website and a roster of international design and fashion stores.ABTW: When did your fascination with watches start?Patrick Bek: I

So ive had my 5167 for a little while now and am seeking Advice as to whether I should cut on my section of the band. It is currently equal length each side so could take one from the 6 to centre it a tad.Discuss.
116655 + BLNR for BLRO
As the title suggests, I've been back and forth on this idea for the better part of the last year or so. The BLNR is more or less a daily for me, the 116655 is great for weekends... they make a pretty good combo. With the BLRO potentially on the way out, I'm having this internal debate again in my mind. There is no deal in the works, but I think a straight up trade is pretty fair based on what I've seen in the secondary market.I mentioned BLNR as a daily, but I do rotate frequently during the weeks too, and would like to consolidate my smallish collection to some extent; ideally dropping two sports watches for one and picking up a dress piece. Thoughts?
