Armin Strom Gravity Date Watches Of All Four Elements
The Gravity line of watches by Armin Strom is something that we have discussed before:?I wrote about the Gravity Date Tourbillon here?and Ariel did a hands-on article about the time-only Gravity Fire here. But rest assured, this time we have gravitated toward this line again?for two good reasons:?first, we are talking about a different and, relatively speaking, more affordable watch than the tourbillon, and yet a bit more complex than the Gravity Fire. Secondly, I would like to share what I learned about the details of the more unusual design code of the brand.I recently had a chance to sit down with Claude Greisler, Armin Strom's Director of Horology and gain some insight into why they create things the way they do. As we have discussed in the past, large portions of the design language comes from the direction set by the brand's namesake founder over 40 years ago. One of the present day features that is immediately drawn from that direction is the tab on the case down at 6 o'clock.Gr

Happy New Year from my new 5960/1A
Hi everyone. My first post here and wanting to wish you all a very Happy New Year and show you my new 5960/1A. Best thing I ever purchased. So happy here.
Batman is gone
Can't help but notice the BLNR is no longer present on the official Rolex site. How do you feel about that?? The new Pepsi is uber cool though and I love it!
Trade up to Sub or go for Explorer?
Hi all,I am relatively new to watches and love this forum. My only piece is the Black Bay Black ETA, which I wear 24/7. As much as I like it, the no date Sub does call to me. I've considered selling the BB and using proceeds toward a Sub, but also have considered keeping BB and buying Explorer, which is my other favourite Rolex. While I fancy myself as a one watch guy, the BB and Explorer combo would give me two different looks vs having the diver look everyday if Sub was my only watch. I dress casual everyday. Wear a suit a handful of times all year. Any opinions welcome! Thanks to a great group of enthusiasts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
