Hi all First AP, a 15400 black dial. It will replace my SubC as my ss watch. After my purchase of a gold GMT II last year, I felt I needed more visual variety. I have a somewhat random question though, hopefully you all can provide some insight.... AP haphazardly wraps their new watches in what appears to be cheap clear plastic and blue plastic (same as what is used on electronics). Rolex as most of you know uses precision cut pieces applied at strategic locations. Any idea why the cheap look of the AP wrapping? Considering that AP is considered a more luxurious brand?
Would you buy this if patek released it?
was playing around in photoshop.want to see what everyone thinks of a 5990 in rose gold.
Swirlies and hairline scratches on polished WG case
I know the answer to this question before even asking it, but I want to know all of your thoughts on swirls and hairline scratches on a brand new PP in the AD case. Other than getting the watch factory sealed it seems as though anything that is displayed at an AD will have that plastic or tape wrap over the case. But once a pair of human hands handles a highly polished PP case it seems as though it gets the micro scratches. Would this bother anyone in the slightest when purchasing a new watch? Obviously demanding a new factory sealed references isn't always an option. Is this just how it goes when handling these highly polished pieces? Besides I would guess I would get the same scratches on it during the first few days of ownership.
Anyone looking to sell a 5711 (blue)? :)
Been trying hard to find one at a fair deal.Usually slightly late and they are sold, or asking price just extremely high.Looking for a blue dial 5711 for some time now.If you have one for sale, please do PM me.I hope asking here is not against the forum rules, but I figured it would be the best place, since many guys look to upgrade or clean out the collection, etc.Thank you guys very much in advance and have a great day!
