Planet Ocean materials
Does anyone know what metal the hands are made of on the 'standard' PO's and what metal are the surrounds on the luminescent hour markers? I was told on Rolexes (sub) it's White gold! What do Omega use?
Planet Ocean Chrono Issues
I have seen a few issues with this model. Two had a defective column wheel lever (lever would not engage the column wheel, which impeded the proper functioning of the chronograph) and one had a loose (completely unscrewed) oscillating weight screw. All on new watches, fresh from factory. That whole Toyota thingee got me in the mood to talk about manufacture defects and such.
5711 Blue Dial available at New Jersey AD
Hi, just wanted to let anyone who's interested know that LaViano Jewelers in Westwood, NJ just this morning got in a brand new 5711 blue dial. I'm getting one from my local AD soon so I passed on it. I have no affiliation with this dealer and just wanted to share the info as I know how incredibly hard these are to come by. Call and ask for Mike!
Noob question: Markup for box/papers vs watch only?
Hi guys- been searching for the right pre-owned PAM for a while. Can someone help me understand the deal with finding a watch with box&papers&accesories vs just the watch only? It seem like having all that stuff is around a 15-20% increase in price, is that typcical?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
