3 Limited-Edition Mhle Glashtte Watches Commemorate 145 Years of the Brand
The German watch brand we know today as Mhle Glashtte was founded in 1869 by Robert Mhle, and the family business was re-established in 1994 by his descendant, Hans-Jrgen Mhle. Mhle Glashtte commemorates both the 145 anniversary of its origins and the 20th anniversary of its rebirth this year with a trio of limited-edition anniversary watches. The R. Mhle & Sohn Anniversary editions, fittingly named after the company’s founder, represents the launch of Mhle’s “R. Mhle & Sohn” manufacture collection and feature the debut of two new in-house movements, Caliber RMK 01 and RMK 02. Both new movements are manual-wound and designed by Mhle watchmakers in the classical Glashtte style, with such stylistic hallmarks as engraved balance cocks and screwed gold chatons. They also include the now-rare three-fifths mainplate (watches made in Glashtte typically have three-quarters mainplates) and the brand’s patented “woodpecker neck” regul
5, 4, 3, 2, 1! To the moon!

Patek Philippe Gondolo 5200 (8days) or Rolex Day-Date Platinum Baguette dial
Hello members of most excellent forum.I am in a starting point to acquire one ultimate watch to my collection and these two resemble it to me. These two represent little bit different areas in chronoworld as Patek is manually wound and is not at all that rugged as Rolex. Day-Date is an icon and baquette diamonds in dial are only way i consider i can have diamonds in my watch, i just like diamonds in a certain way and hiding them as hour markers is that certain way for me. They both have Day and Date and have certain lifetime karma which i like. Rolex gets points for being a lot less worry free than Patek Philippe. In Patek instruction manual there are like dozen warnings how you can break the watch in different ways. Almost none of these exist with Rolex. Warranty is 5 years with Rolex and 2 years with Patek.I have Explorer II, Deepsea Blue and soon SS Skydweller blue dial. I am just thinking would this be decent view of Rolexes and also something from almost all parts of Rolex world.
What could happen if Swatch bought Rolex (example)
Here is what I think could be the result...Example of what Rolex quality could become like if Swatch bought RolexNot that Swatch will ever be in a position to buy Rolex. The converse might be true.
