LAST CHANCE: LGI Watch Collector Survey + Data Sharing
The LGI operated watch collector survey that we discussed last month will very soon be coming to a close. We recommend that all collectors check it out and participate if they are interested in the results. LGI has agreed to share the survey findings with all the participants who qualify and take the survey. We think that is pretty cool. See our original post here for more details and a link to take the survey.
How far have you pushed your Aquanaut?
Have seen a few posts on the edges of this topic but looking for a head-on answer to how far a 5167 can be pushed in terms of activity - how far have these been pushed and are there any true use cases out there that have actually damaged the watch beyond cosmetic? Thanks.
Upgrading 5980/1A to 5980R
Hi, some of you may remember me posting in Audemars Piquet forum asking about trading my black steel 5980. Now, another dilemma emerged involving purely Patek brand this time. Should I trade my 4yr old 5980 + cash (~17,000usd) for brand new rose gold 5980? Admittedly, gold has recently become my thing of late. I would not have thought about this few years ago. I guess time has caught up with me, haha! Again, your thoughts are very much appreciated.
5711 r
Hi everyone, I'm considering in purchasing a 5711r since I've been looking for a gold piece! On the other hand $51000 is a few bucks and my wife liked the 5235 better.I have a 5726 and didn't want to get another Patek on strap.Looking for opinions and maybe some other better options in that price range, thanks and happy Saturday
Three Way Trade= Pepsi Jubilee
Hi, so after many days of trolling through the internet for a suitable super jubilee, I've come up with a (temporary?) solution using what's on hand.U serial 16570 Polar gets SEL Oyster bracelet from Y serial 16710 Pepsi;7,2xxx (birth year) 16014 gets HEL Oyster from 16570;Y serial 16710 gets 62510H jubilee from 16014... & viola! Had to slightly adjust the DJ's 555 endlinks to fit the Pepsi but all seems to fit okay. Don't worry, I am on the hunt for more suitable 502t endlinks! Bonus is that my DJ instantly becomes more wearable and the SEL bracelet upgrade significantly improves the previously rattly Polar! Anyway, this was my quick and nasty remedy to catching Basel-Pepsi fever (it's going around) without having to endure the years long wait list from the AD or inevitable extortionist grey markups... or am I doing it wrong?
