Amusing Look At Fake Watch Store Watches-brand.com; Worth The Look For The Laughs
When did Citizen watches start to become the target of fakes? Its true. I first learned that Watches-brandwatches-dealer was selling fake Citizen Campanola watches, such as the Grand Complication. This sort of makes sense as the watches are all above $2000 and feature quartz movements. But then I learned that they didn't stop there. They are making fake watches based on authentic Citizen watches which themselves are only a few hundred dollars brand new. I get the market for the fake Rolex or Patek Philippe, but what is the message of faking a Citizen? Something like "I'd really like people to think I am middle class third world country, because I identify that with the highest level of success I'll ever possibly reach, but my status is merely enough to convince people I know how to tell the time if I am wearing a watch." Yes, this statement is odd and contrived, but so is faking a Citizen. Not that there is anything wrong with Citizen, I proudly own a few myself, but I'd never see a re

My new ladies Speedmaster
I am very happy to present my first Omega timepiece that I just acquired.I am now another fortunate owner of a brand new ladies’ 38 mm Speedmaster, automatic chronograph, “grey-on-grey”, caliber 3304.Facts and specifications are all available on Omega website, and we all know the history. Therefore, I offer just an early, short and humble observation, to help you to decide for (or against) this timepiece. My strongest uncertainty was the size. My wrist is 6.2”, I am fairly tall, and I am happy to say that 38 mm feels like right dimension for the purpose. The watch is little over 14 mm thick, which is about the biggest thickness I think I should go for.Alligator strap with deployant clasp could not be more comfortable. Dial is in my opinion stunning. Every time I look at it, it changes color, and it is always nicer than before. It is very easy to read. I am a big fan of arabic numerals, and really fond of unassuming but definite presence of three small chronograph
Quick rant...
Last year my 233 had to be serviced because the hour hand would get stuck around midnight. Even though all my watches see very limited use because of my heavy rotation I was ok with it since I had the watch for a few years and I bought it used... surprisingly, I found the major service reasonable at around $800. More importantly, they did a good job and did not damage my watch or left any dust/lint under the crystal (I've read the many horror stories from PASC so I was worried as hell)... and all in about 2 months if I recall correctly. Fast forward to this past weekend... my PAM 305 now seems to have an issue that will require servicing. Seems to be getting stuck around 10:45 pm and when adjusting the date by moving the hour hand it does not click every hour like it used to (can still hear the click but it's very faint now and weak on the notches if you know what I mean). So another trip to Panerai BH... can only cross my fingers that this time will also be a reasonable service cost
