A Week On The Wrist: The Linde Werdelin SpidoLite Gold
Linde Werdelin has been in the game for more than 13 years now, and it’s safe to say that they’ve honed their lightweight sports watch to suit the unique vision of founders Jorn Werdelin and Morten Linde. With each limited generation, the modular case and dial structure evolve in ways sometimes noticeable, and other times less so. At this year’s Baselworld fair, Linde Werdelin introduced the fourth generation of their SpidoLite family of watches, and while it still features exotic materials and featherweight construction, the design, and more importantly, the mechanics, have undergone some serious renovation since we last spent a week with one. Does the latest and greatest SpidoLite continue to break new ground for this forward thinking brand? We spent a week with the new SpidoLite Gold to find out. State Of The Brand Regular readers of HODINKEE will no doubt be familiar with Linde Werdelin and their thoroughly contemporary timepieces. They may be relati
AP ROO Rubberclad - Service Question
Hi All,I recently purchased a AP Royal Oak Offshore Rubberlcad. Watch was made in 2007 so I am going to get it serviced. I don't mind sending it back to AP but the band and bezel are in great condition. Are there any watchmakers that you would recommend in the US that I could ship the watch to? Or don't take the airplane to the auto mechanic and do it the right way?Thank you in advance.
Out with the old and .....
In with the new. Well after 7 yrs of ownership I have let my faithful, trusty old RC go. This is the watch that got me into AP and I thought it would be a keeper. However times change & things move on. I have been having a bit of a shake up with my small collection over the last ten months mainly trying to thin out a few pieces which I haven't worn in a while and add a few newer higher end pieces. I am really pleased with the direction things are going in with AP as a brand and the opportunity presented itself late last week to get my hands on a piece I really wanted since it's release. I grasped the opportunity without hesitation and moved out a few pieces including my RC to add this beauty to my wrist. First wrist shot driving home The finish on the ceramic is amazing, the orange accents work extremely well IMO, the weight on the wrist seems perfect and having the display back is an added bonus. This thing is awesome! I think this watch is going to get a lot of wrist time, it's
Omega Speedmaster in 40mm
I can't wear anything bigger than 40mm watch. Is there a listing of model that comes in 40mm size? I see so many speedmaster which looks the same, but listed as different size. I'm confused :)Thanks,
Speedmaster Winding
Got a basic Speedmaster, manual wind, hesalite and have a question on winding. I can wind about 40 revolutions and it doesn't seem to get tight. I'm afraid of possibly overwinding. Roughly how many revolutions does it take to properly wind this watch? Thanks, Sam
