la Montre Verte City Pulse Pollution Detecting "Green Watch"
Here is a cool idea that is more than just a concept, but actually being done right now. Pictured above is the "Green Watch" and it is part of the la Montre Verte City Pulse project currently taking place in Paris France. It was started by the FING (Fondation Internet Nouvelle Generation) The project's goal is to create a system to measure air and noise pollution in urban centers, eventually learning how to create environmentally sustainable cities. There are currently three prototype Green Watches being worn that have air and noise sensors. The watches collect information and use a mobile phone that the wearer has to transmit information back for the database. What you get is map as seen below that measures in extreme detail the areas of the highest noise and air pollution in the city.The project aims to have 1000 Green Watches in Paris that will constantly be measuring the environment. Good day gents Thinking of picking up a 26300 39mm chrono. Also have a rolex gmt ceramic. Wondering for those that may have had or do have both, how is the fit in size and comfort of the AP vs the gmt? Thanks in advance

A beautiful watch deserves beautiful pictures, and a beautiful pictures needs a better camera. So on this lazy Sunday morning, out comes my Nikon DSLR to capture my latest beauty. The Patek 5205R is a 40mm Complication Watch in a Rose Gold case. Truth be told, the RG can resembles YG in some lighting. This is the 5205R in more subdue room lighting. Close up of the Dial. Everything looks perfect. Now the crown. Exquisitely embossed and crafted. Sorry for the dust. Now the close-up shots of the Patek Annual Calendar Calibre 324 movement. I think I finally realised what I am paying for! The Gold Rotor with the Calatrava EmblemClose-up of the Rotor... the details are just amazing. Pushing my lens to the limit, I tried a detailed closeup. But I think I need a more powerful lens. Really, the detailed work and finishing on the movement is amazing. A final parting shot... Thoughts on new PAM 676?
I tried on the 676 along with the 560 and the Rad 380, and coming from a SubC as my daily wearer for the past five or six years the 44mm 560 felt pretty dang thick, the 380 felt just a little larger (not thicker though), and the 676 felt very similar to my Sub and perhaps thinner. I think I would pull the trigger for that one, but I don't like the low water resistance. I also wonder if I will regret not getting a bigger PAM because that's what people think when they think Panerai. Any advice? What I do know is (1) I don't want TOO thick of a case, (2) I like the simple base design or perhaps the base with the small seconds, and (3) I also like the gold hand models. The 232 is tempting for a RAD, but dang if it isn't 47mm!! I almost pulled the trigger on a Speedy Pro, but I keep coming back to Panerai. I would love your input!
