Sowind Group Announces Reorganization
Sowind Group (Girard-Perregaux and Jeanrichard) has announced a management reorganization following the sudden death of Chairman Luigi Macaluso on October 27. Monica Mailander Macaluso has been appointed Chairman of the Board of the Sowind Group holding company, while the directorship and operational management have been entrusted to Stefano and Massimo Macaluso, Chairman and CEO of Sowind SA respectively. The rest of the Board of Directors remains unchanged. Alongside Stefano and Massimo Macaluso it includes, as Vice-Chairman, Francois-Henri Pinault, the Chief Executive Officer of PPR, which, following the signature of a strategic partnership agreement in 2008, holds a 23% stake in Sowind Group. The other members are Robert Polet (Chief Executive Officer of Gucci Group) and Henry Peter. The operational management of the Group has been entrusted to Stefano and Massimo Macaluso. De Bethune DBS Digital: A Calendar Watch For The New Year
I finally decided that I wanted to write about a calendar watch for New Year's day, but I didn't know what watch to talk about. Calendar watches come in thousands of forms, and have been around practically since the time clocks have been around. There are a few highly complex calendar watches that actually do indicate the year, but none of those suited my tastes at this time. I finally decided on writing about one of the most elegant, "love it or hate it" calendar watches out there made by the boutique watch brand De Bethune. You have this amazing looking designer case, high grade materials all decorated, and then this simple digital (mostly) display. The t
Under The Radar: The Design Merits Of The Bell & Ross WW1 Regulateur Pink Gold
This isn't a new watch and this isn't an old watch. In fact, the Bell & Ross WW1 Régulateur Pink Gold was announced last year for Baselworld 2013 (eons ago, considering the staccato frequency of watch releases lately). So why take a look now? Well, why not? Regularly enough we come across watches that aren't quite vintage (or complex) enough to cover in-depth, and aren't quite brand-spanking new, but offer a commendable take on design and engineering. While the movement is nothing extraordinary, the WW1 Régulateur falls into the former aesthetically-minded category, which makes it worth bringing into the office for a few hands-on photos. 1 OF 5 With its Vintage Collection, Bell & Ross pulls design cues from the early days of horology (not from the company's own product archives – they were only founded in 1992.) The majority of these elements can be observed in the case design: a simple, almost monastic round case with well-
Gone to a rubber strap on my PO....
... and I may never go back! The PO 45.5mm fits my wrist perfectly and I like the weight of the watch on the bracelet. That's one of the things that sold me on these watch. But after several years on the S/S bracelet I got tired of the same old look so I purchased the black rubber strap with tang buckle.... L O V E I T !!!Now I think on need a blue rubber strap for my SMP!
