Breitling Launches Navitimer Caliber 01 Limited Edition
Breitling’s iconic Navitimer – a favorite among pilots and collectors alike – will be available next spring in a limited edition powered by the brand’s in-house, chronometer-certified chronograph Caliber B01. The series will include 2000 pieces in steel and 200 in 18k red gold, both available on strap or bracelet. Prices appear below, along with an image of the watch you can enlarge to wallpaper size. The Navitimer was launched in the mid-1950s as a watch designed specifically for pilots. It bore the logo of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and became the group’s official timepiece. The circular slide-rule bezel allows pilots to make critical calculations such as fuel consumption, distance traveled, and rate of climb/descent. Old Colt Auto questions
hi guys, I'm new to this forum, so apologize if i am repeating old questions.I have a Colt Auto, circa 1993 that I wear daily. It came with a stainless professional series bracelet, which I ditched in favor of the rubber dive strap ages ago. First question, the crystal is mineral, and have had it replaced several times. Is a Sapphire crystal available for replacement (I noticed ads for parablic ones for rolex). 2) the pins rattled out of the professional bracelet when I was mountain biking a decade ago, I still have the parts. a) can this be repaired, and by whom? b) did anyone else have this problem with Breitling Bracelets?thanks, jimRolex oyster dateBreitling Colt Auto

Apparently 3 Liquid Metals have landed in the USA and one of them ismine!!!I was starting to lose hope when I called a few local Omega dealers who told me it was officially SOLD OUT...will post pics as soon as it is on my wrist - should be less than a week...I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a watch!!

5 things I learned from the 5740 (Nautilus PP) release...
1. That Patek is committed to keeping the Nautilus as a 40mm watch.With the last three new releases of the Aquanaut being at 40.8mm (5164), and then twice at 42.2mm (5168 and 5968) it is clear (at least to me) that ALL future Aquanauts are going to be larger than 40mm. The fact that they kept the 5740 at 40mm likewise makes it clear to me that the Nautilus will forever be a 40mm watch.2. That the 5712 has a water rating of 60m instead of 120m because of the 240 movement, not the pushers.Many people have said that the 5712 had a lower water rating than the other Nautilus watches because of the pushers to correct the moonphase and date. However, I always thought it had something to do with the 240 movement because the 5712 was the only Nautilus with that movement whereas the 5726 had pushers and still retained a 120m water rating. Even with advances over the past 12 years since the 5712 was introduced, the 5740 still came out with a 60m water rating. The 5740 and the 5712 are the only tw
