Question for the experts....I need help idenifying this vintage Patek (pics included)
Hello everyone,I came across this vintage Patek Philippe watch and I cannot seem to find the model number engraved anywhere on the case, inside the caseback or the movement. I'm hoping someone here can help me identify this watch as well as any information about it. The number movement is 864505 and the number on the inside of the caseback is 632308.Thanks in advance. Here are the pics...
Milgauss Z-blue dial vs. blue sunburst dials (like those on the sub-c)
Between the Milgauss Z-blue dial and the blue sunburst dial you would find on the YG or TT models, is there any difference in terms of looks, how it's produced, etc? From what I've seen on photos they seem very similar, but it looks like the Milgauss dial can become a lighter blue than the sunburst dial. I've read that the Milgauss dial is composed or has some zirconium in it, hence the z-blue term.I thought I remember reading the sunburst dials are made with gold, but can't seem to find where I read that now. Or are the sunburst dials made using the same process as the z-blue dial minus the zirconium?
just bought the 116618LB .. very excited..
Well, after wanting this watch for decades, I decided to sell my GMT II, and some gold bullion and get this beauty.. I don't have pics, as the AD is shipping it to my honolulu address tomorrow.. I was torn between the black dial, and the blue... but that blue is so beautiful, even if a bit bling bling.. I was also torn as to get the GMT in YG, but it just doesn't feel as nice in the hand for me.I'm curious though why on the official USA Rolex website they say Price on request seems odd, no?
Tudor Bronze Bay
Hey Guys I'm getting a Tudor Bronze Bay at Doha Airport for roughly $3875. The sales guy says its a great deal and its very hard to find this watch. Comments please? To buy or not?
