Watches NEWS
AP Royal Oak Chrono 41mm) or Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chrono
I am in the market for a stainless steel watch that could be worn daily, doesn't attract as much attention as perhaps a gold rolex but at the same time (for me) carries prestige. Both watches will achieve the prestige factor - I'm curious about overall ownership, reliability, feel... Anything you guys can remark would be appreciated. I would purchase new or very slightly preowned so no worries about warranty etc. Please let me know your thoughts - I would get the jumbo AP as the VC is 43mm and I like larger watches. Pics attached for your viewing pleasure :)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1352981181.824871.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1352981190.620566.jpg
5168G Strap width?
Does anyone know if the new blue strap will fit on a 5164? Thanks!
What's on your 2018 PAM wishlist now that the SIHH models have been introduced?
For me, I can fortunately say that I have no interest in any of the new releases from SIHH 2018. However, now that the 720 has blue hands, that has replaced the 721 on my 2018 wish list.So my wish list for 2018 is a 217 and a 720. Not sure I will be able to swing either of them in 2018, unless I can convince my wife that we should follow Richemont's YE and the 2019 year starts on April 1!!After (and only after) the 217 and 720, I would probably want to round out my collection with a 617/375. But that's most defintely a 2019 thing!!What's on your PAM wish list for this year?
PAM74 Chronograph (Zenith movement)
I've the chance to pick up this pre-owned model at circa US$7,000. Anyone knows what the current market value of this would potentially be?
Tudor 79260 dilemma (dial change)
I'm hoping the forum can help me on a choice for a dial change, or alternatively let me know if I should leave it alone.I sent a all black dial Tiger chrono in for a service and at the same time have it refurbished etc.I would like a black dial with white counters. There is no issue with this request, however the caveat is that if I do change it it will not have the word Tiger on the dial, nor numerals. They can get a new dial with Tiger but it will have to be the same dial colour combo. The reason is that the Tiger dials are out of production whereas the normal ones are available (prince date, no Tiger). Markers instead of numerals. What do I do? The market seems to prefer the non Tiger as do I. The paperwork will still remain in tact as it refers to the black dial, but the Tiger box will obviously be off. This watch will remain in the family etc but I don't want to ruin its value.
