Artya Perpetual Calendar Piece Unique Watches
I got a sneak preview of this watch a few months ago and am happy to now be able to show it to you. This is the Artya Perpetual Calendar watch - it combines an exclusive manufacture movement with a surprisingly clean and technical design from the "art watch" brand. The Perpetual Calendar will be available as 10 limited edition pieces. Each piece will have its own materials and colors so that it is totally unique.The first thing I noticed about the watch was the bezel. According to Artya's Yvan Apra, the bezel was influenced by the art and style of Stargate - which is essentially futuristic ancient Egyptian. Aside from looking really cool, the engraved design includes hieroglyphics that actually say something (though I am not sure what). The motto of the watch is actually very ancient Egyptian in theme and is "Vita brevis, ars longa." Sanity Check - Anyone own more than 1 Royal Oak?
I currently have a 15450 white dial and strongly considering adding a 15202. Don't plan on flipping the 15450 just enjoy it too much. So anyone else own more than one such as a Jumbo and conventional Royal Oak or same model RO but different colors? Or will I be the only nut out there?Thanks All -

My College Graduation Present
...after 20 years! I guess it is never too late. I have had a couple of modern iterations of this iconic model (SUBC and LV); but the first one I ever saw in the metal, and that introduced me to the world of Rolex was the 16610, in the mid 90s. Well, as a college student I heard stories of kids getting their nice timepieces as graduation presents, and I couldn't help but to think that I might, just might, be one of those lucky ones; however, my parents are from a different train of thought; and I actually admire and respect that. They worked very hard, saved and accomplished all they ever dreamed for their family...so, the graduation date came, and as I was getting ready for the ceremony, both of them came into my room and handed me a little box. Inside there was a very discreet, yet elegant, gold chain, with a plaque. On the back of this plaque there was a writing that said A Day To Remember. Well, indeed it was! Completely forgot about that Rolex Sub that I was desperate to have.
