My Bathys 100 Fathoms Quartz Watch Review on AskMen.com
As an entry level watch, this is still a hell of a timepiece from Bathys Hawaii. You get the great looking case done in a specially hardened metal, the iconic dial, a Swiss movement with a big date complication, and the durability you've come to expect from all the hype. Plus, you get all the brand persona that Bathys has worked hard and deservingly, to get. At $650 you start with this Bathys 100 Fathoms watch and can easily work your way up.See my Bathys 100 Fathoms Quartz Watch Review on AskMenwatches-dealer here.
Historical Perspectives: (Possibly) The World's First Perpetual Calendar Wristwatch, From Breguet, Revisited On Leap Day 2016
Here is the "Dollfus" Perpetual Calendar, nicknamed after its original owner – sold at auction in 2011, and not seen in public since. Though it's well known in enthusiast circles both by name and reputation, we thought today – Leap Day – would be a great opportunity to look back at this historic watch - the first perpetual calendar wristwatch. When this particular watch was first sold, the price to the new owner, Mr. Jean Dollfus, was 11,000 Swiss Francs. It was a lot of money then, and today it would be considerably more, but even the inflation adjusted price pales in comparison to what it fetched at auction at Christie's, in 2011: $475,618. It's obviously an enormous sum of money, but the price becomes easier to understand, when you understand what the watch represents. 1 OF 4 It's quite simply one of the most important vintage wristwatches ever made by Breguet, and perhaps the single most important perpetual

What's on your 2018 PAM wishlist now that the SIHH models have been introduced?
For me, I can fortunately say that I have no interest in any of the new releases from SIHH 2018. However, now that the 720 has blue hands, that has replaced the 721 on my 2018 wish list.So my wish list for 2018 is a 217 and a 720. Not sure I will be able to swing either of them in 2018, unless I can convince my wife that we should follow Richemont's YE and the 2019 year starts on April 1!!After (and only after) the 217 and 720, I would probably want to round out my collection with a 617/375. But that's most defintely a 2019 thing!!What's on your PAM wish list for this year?
Keeping it simple...
I have always been drawn to the simple designs...I may get a complicated Panerai eventually, but it is really the base designs that continue to epitomizes the brand. Here's a quick shot of my 000 and 232 after a bit of sunlight...
