Wolf Designs Viceroy 6 Piece Watch Winder Review
An interesting fact that I've come to learn is that many people (even quite a few watch loving people) have no idea what a watch winder is. It is one of those things that you can show people, in action, and they still don't know what it is. I've actually had people come to my office and see a bunch of watches in winders on shelves and remark "oh really? You have to show them off like that?" Which I later learned (after some probing) was a misunderstanding thinking that a watch on a winder was some special way of displaying them in a fancy manner. I just can't anticipate misunderstandings like that in advance. It is possible that I take for granted knowing what a mechanical watch is, and that I know how it works. There isn't a lot of sense required (in my opinion) to understand that a little weight in a watch movement winds it when you move your wrist around. Further, if you are not wearing the watch on your wrist, you can artificially create the movement necessary to keep that watch wou
Omega 145.0303 Prototype
Hello guys,I was just wondering if anyone has any idea about Omega Prototypes. I recently came across a 145.0303 40th anniversary prototype. I had a look at the movement and case and everything else. I was exactly like the limited edition ones but had a 0000 serial. I was thinking about buying it but i am unsure if it is worth what the buyer is asking. The watch is new and looks amazing. Any ideas? would appreciate some opinions. I guess such a watch as it would be unique would be somehow really specialThanks

5980 - thoughts / considerations / experiences
I am contemplating purchasing a Patek 5980 and have a number of questions that I would appreciate any input on:-Size - i know the watch is rather chunky, but can it still be worn on a day to day basis in a formal office environment or is it more of a watch to be worn during leisure time?In this context is the size similar to a submariner or a sea dweller?Dial colour - i am planning to go for the blue face which appears to be the favourite on this forum. Did anyone go for black over blue - if so why?Build quality - how easily do the polished centre links scratch and do people find this irritating or is this something that people get used to over time? Does the bezel also scratch very easily?Residuals - whilst i am buying this watch to wear and enjoy (and with the intention to own it forever) can anyone add input on residuals? Thanks
