Carl F. Bucherer Launches new Chrono Perpetual
Carl F. Bucherer’s new timepiece, introduced this week at the 2012 Baselworld watch fair, elegantly combines two of the most popular complications. The aptly named Chrono Perpetual uses an in-house movement, made at the brand’s atelier, to power both a chronograph and a perpetual calendar with moon-phase and leap year. Find wallpaper image inside. The watch's perpetual calendar has a correction-free date display at 12 o'clock, day-of-the-week display at 6 o'clock, month and leap year indication at 9 o'clock, and moon-phase at 3 o'clock. The chronograph has a flyback function and can be used with the tachymeter scale along the dial's periphery. All these functions are powered by a Vaucher movement, made exclusively for Carl F. Bucherer.Watches with so many functions often have a very busy dial, but the designers of the Manero ChronoPerpetual strove to emphasize readability by incorporating several different levels and surface finishes. They also integrated the chronograph cou
Menage Of Corum Skull Watches For Halloween
Halloween is my favorite childhood holiday for good reason; it attempts to imbue fantasy with reality for at least one day. And it is perfectly legitimate to do so. That is why I have been tempted on so many occasions to spend hundreds on fancy costumes.Likewise, Corum knows how to imbue a healthy amount of fantasy in their watches and make them perfectly legitimate luxury timepieces. Corum has released a number of interesting and high quality watches (many of them limited editions) over the years. For whatever reason, a large number of them have features a skull and other parts of a skeleton. They aren't spooky per se, but they are certainly avant garde and not for everyone. They are certainly for me though, and I love these mostly limited edition watches from Corum. Most of these watches are based on the Corum Bubble watch, with its tall domed sapphire crystals, and rounded shaped. Really, this are nice watches to hold and wear. You might be put off by their unorthodox looks at first,
Hands-on with the Kent Wang Art Deco
Before getting into Kent Wang's new Art Deco watch, one first needs to know two thingsobviously, who and what is Kent Wang, and what is the Art Deco period. Kent Wang is a brand named after its founder. KW got its start in 2007 when Mr. Wang, frustrated by the lack of well-priced pocket squares, decided to take matters into his owns handsor pockets as it were. From there, a brand of refined and classic men's clothing and accessories emerged. From ties to bespoke suits to a couple of watches, Kent Wang is nice alternative to mainstream stores for higher-end dress wear needs.Art Deco is a visual style that followed WWI and lasted through the 40's (roughly until WWII). It's a bold style that combined elements from the Craft period and Machine age. Ranging through all media from objects to graphics, and notably to architecture, Art Deco is defined by bold geometry with an eye for symmetry and flow, a use of strong colors and highly detailed decoration. There are many existing examples of

AP vs. Panerai - size and weight comparisons?
Hi, I'm still not sure which AP I want. The 15710 diver or the 42mm chrono (black and grey). I'd like to put a bracelet on it and change straps. I've gotten rid of my 311 so I no longer have the Panerai to weight or measure. I realize it was titanium but I've also had ss Panerai's. I know the Panerai was 44mm vs 42mm but what about height. The AP's I've mentioned are basically 14mm tall. Does anyone know what the Panerai's 1950 cases are with with contemporary done or historic dome? Any comparison pics would be a huge bonus. Thanks!!Everett
