In 1963 Jack Heuer started work on a new chronograph designed for drivers and motor-racing enthusiasts. A life-long fan of the sport himself, he knew what it was needed: a wide-open, easy-to-read dial and a shock-resistant and waterproof case tough enough for road wear. The following year he launched the result, a mechanical, manual-wound chronograph called the Carrera. The name derives from Carrera Pan Americana, a five-day, 2,100 mile race across Mexico. The most prestigious – and dangerous – endurance race of its day. Carerra in Spanish means competition of the highest order . Speedmaster Professional Resting Position Time Regulation
Hi guys,I played around with my speedy pro and tested its timekeeping precision based on resting position. For anyone looking to speed up or slow down your speedy, I figured this could be helpful.My testing methodology: The watch was fully wound and then timed against the Time.gov atomic clock at exactly 12:00 pm each day. The watch was then left to rest in the given position below, untouched, for exactly 24 hours until 12:00 pm the following day when I timed it against Time.gov again. This was done for three days in each position, with the watch being fully wound before each subsequent timing. It is important to note that the timing was exactly the same for all three positions on each of the three days (very accurate movement). Below are my results.Dial up: + 2 seconds Dian down: - 4.5 secondsCrown up: + 12 secondsCrown down: + 4 seconds Hopefully this is helpful for anyone trying to self regulate their speedy pro!!!

Would you flip an Omega Moonwatch for Tudor BB?
Hi guys,I used to have a dozen of watches but last year I have consolidated my collections to just 3.Right now, I have 116610, 116710 and an Omega Moonwatch - The first Watch Worn on the Moon.Recently, my Omega has not been getting sunshine and thinking of flipping it and get a Tudor BB Chrome or soon to be released BB fifty eight (if available).In terms of value in the long run (not referring to $$), which one would be more 'coveted', Moonwatch or BB58? Thanks for the inputs.
