A. Lange & S?hne Unveils its Grand Complication at SIHH
Avid fans and collectors of A. Lange & S?hne are now one step closer to their Holy Grail: the German watch brand announced at the SIHH in Geneva that it will release its long-anticipated Grand Complication wristwatch this year and, from the standpoint of complications, it looks to be even more than many expected. For a watch to meet the traditional criteria of a grand complication, it must include, in addition to hours, minutes and seconds, a perpetual calendar, chronograph, and minute repeater. Lange’s Grand Complication goes above and beyond these requirements. Its chiming mechanism includes a grand sonnerie and petit sonnerie in addition to a minute repeater; its chronograph is a monopusher with a split-seconds function and jumping seconds; and its perpetual calendar includes a moon-phase display. The watch’s two hand-wrought gongs produce the sound of the minute repeater and of the hour and quarter-hour strikes. What would you choose?
This would be AP ROO RG 42mm 25940 vs PP 5711/1a.both sings to me so loudly and beautifully, I do not know what to choose...if i have the chance and $$ lol
15300 First impressions
I'm about a week into owning my AP RO. Here are some of my general thoughts1) Great bracelet so comfortable to wear and light, the watch sits very flat 2) Love the sound of the 22K rotor zipping around ever so often and the looks of the rotor are just killer and a great conversation starter3) The dial face I catch myself zoning out and staring at the craftmanship4) My only negative is that the watch is a scratch magnet :( I picked up some scratches on the bezel on day 2 of ownership and I'm still not sure how it happened. But I'll wear them with pride until I send the watch for servicing~Overall proud owner and member of the AP club.
Omega set in green jelly mould
I like my Omegas as I like my women, covered in jelly !In fact this crime of taste is an Omega sold for $200,000 at the Omegamania auction.Diamond, platinum, and tourmaline ring watch. Classy.
Cleaning my first Rolex?
Hi everyone! Just joined this forum and hope to be an exciting part of it. Bought my first Rolex last week. 41mm DJ Wimbledon Dial Jubilee 18k/Steel.I have been waiting for this for the longest time. Question is on cleaning. I know its gonna get scratched and that some people wear them as battle wounds. Is there anything wrong with cleaning my watch daily or multiple times a day? Currently I'm using a cloth used for eyeglasses, phone screen, laptop screen. And wiping it down dry, would it hurt if I applied a cleaning solution? I do this several times a day to remove fingerprints. Is this a good method?
