Omega Olympic Timeless Collection Watches
This collection is really a great idea from Omega. It was only a matter of time before their Olympic connection went more mainstream. Typically the Olympics theme is only used with limited edition watches that are great, but high in cost and hard to find. Now Omega has decided that the Olympics connection is more mainstream marketable (still not cheap though) - something which which I agree. Thus, we have at least four new watches in the "Olympic Timeless Collection" that not only has very attractive watches, but deeply imbues each timepiece with a classic style and the Olympics + Omega connection. The watches here contain one of two movements. First is the Omega Caliber 3313 Co-Axial automatic movement that is the more classic looking tri-compax chronograph with three subdials. This is placed in the Seamaster models. Then there is my favorite, the Omega Caliber 3888 Co-Axial automatic movement first seen in 2008 on this limited edition Omega Summer Olympics watch. The very cool movemen
Introducing: The Harry Winston Countdown To A Cure Timepiece To Support HIV Research
Harry Winston has released a new limited edition watch, the Countdown to a Cure Timepiece, to benefit amfAR's (The American Foundation for AIDS Research) efforts to develop a cure for HIV/AIDS. Twenty percent of the retail sales price of each watch will be donated to the cause. The limited collection will be produced in a series of 20 women's watches and 20 men's watches. 1 OF 2 Both watches stem from the Midnight Collection. The men's version is a simple design with an automatic movement fitted in a 42 mm white-gold case and navy blue iridescent dial with applied baton indexes. The minute track features the multi-colors of amfAR. The colors are intended to represent the transition of the disease from "crisis to cure." The watch is further accented by the date aperture appears at 6 o'clock and has center seconds. This watch retails for $21,200.The quartz women's version features a 32 mm white-gold case with the same navy blue dial; howeve
Breitling 815 sub dial hand?
Hello gentleman, I recently picked up this Breitling 815 and just noticed a slight variance in the size of the hand in the sub dial at the 6 o'clock. It appears to be somewhat thinner in width than the hands on the other two sub dials. The dials at the 3 and 9 positions have a gradual flare at the top while the hand in question has very little flare. I'm trying to determine if this is correct or if possibly the hands are replacements. If there are any vintage Breitling buffs on here I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Cheers! 👍
So a crazy thing happened at a Rolex A.D. in Ottawa
Hi all, Went to pick up my 1680 Red Sub from an A.D. finally ready from being serviced after 9 weeks; they still have their own factory trained techs on site with quite a labratory. Not sure if I am allowed to mention names, so I won't, but I have to say they did a fantastic job. Well after picking up the watch, I decided to put a deposit on a brand new GMT BLNR! I was so nervous that my 1680 I had picked up began to feel very tight on my wrist, LOLThat being said, I guess I'll be able to start posting in The General Discussion section as well very soon! There is no promise date, but they believe the watch should be available by May 2018, which is fine with me.Cheers everyone
