Andre Checa Designs Most Hideous Watch Case This Year
This is the ugliest watch case I think I have personally ever seen. What is so ironic is that the watch movement and dial itself are just fine, and totally mismatched with the watch case. This timepiece gets a "Fraggle Rock's Finest Award" for most cartoon rock formation style watch ever. What was Andre Checa thinking when he designed this watch? He was likely watching episodes of old Jim Henson Muppet television shows or movies. I get the watch, I just don't like it. Need help with my Dad's watch
My dad had worn this gold Omega De Ville for as long as I can remember. The story goes that somebody bought watches for my parents for their wedding. My mom didn't like the buyer, so she gave hers away. I imagine this means it dates from the late 60's. I remember my dad winding this watch every morning before he went to work. A few years ago, he stopped wearing this and went to a Suunto, I think because he couldn't manipulate the crown anymore, and he wanted a watch that was easier to read.The original bracelet, while being super cool, doesn't fit me and is not adjustable. It also has a good amount of wear and I don't know how fragile it is. I'm not sure it's something that could be fixed at an Omega repair center, nor do I think I would want them to.Anybody have any info on the watch, like age, movement? Or any ideas of what I could do with it? I took the bracelet off, the lug width is 14 mm, there aren't a lot of strap choices at that width. To put this on a NATO would seem

Service expectations on a 2010 vintage 5712
Looking at possibly purchasing a pre-owned, early 2010 vintage, 5712/1A from the original owner. Was worn in rotation for the first year or so and pretty much been sitting in a safe ever since.Should I expect this watch will need servicing soon? If so, what would you estimate cost and the time it will be off my wrist to be?Thanks, guys.

Looking for a great AD or Trusted Seller in Vegas/LA for 5712SS & 5726 White Dial...
Evening all,I'll be in Vegas in 3weeks and want to look at nailing down this 5712SS or 5726 White Dial... problem is its a tough trigger to pull without trying them both on side by side.With that being said.. can anyone recommend a Trusted Seller on here or an AD that has both Models in Stock. I know Watch Expo with Paul has them both and gets great ratings it seems on here as well as Yelp ect... but any and all information would be appreciated. Im happy to fly down from Vegas to LA for the day for this.I've tried the 3x AD's in Vegas and all have the 5726 White Dial.. but none have the 5712SS!Let me know.. thanks team!
