Junghans Meister Agenda Watch
Everybody's got an aesthetic sweet spot C design principles that speak to you for no particular reason. Imagining your ideal watch is difficult, just like choosing a favourite in anything. But when someone sticks it right in front of your face, you just know that it is the one for you. And yet even then, even when you're holding the watch in your hands, you struggle to describe why it works for you. That's pretty much how I feel about the Junghans Meister Agenda. This is not the first Junghans I have had the pleasure of discussing. It was a brand I knew little about before I started writing for ABTW C aside from their association with the late great Max Bill C but my admiration for their products has grown quickly. I recently discussed the new Max Bill range here, and was impressed by the cleanliness and balance of the dials. This seems to be a respect held by many in the horological community. Introducing The Piaget Altiplano Scrimshaw, With A Dial Made Of 40,000 Year Old Mammoth Tusk (Live Pics, Details, & Pricing)
A few weeks ago, we gave you a hands-on look at the Piaget 900P, the thinnest mechanical watch in the world. But this isn't the only new watch Piaget is showing at SIHH. The Altiplano Scrimshaw features a dial made from fossilized mammoth ivory that is then engraved with a map of the Eastern Hemisphere using traditional scrimshaw techniques. Each dial takes 65 hours to produce and these watches really are unique little works of art. 2 OF 15 The Altiplano Scrimshaw starts simply enough – a 38mm Altiplano case in either white or pink gold with an in-house 400P ultra-thin calibre. While these are admirable as-is, this watch is all about the special dial. A piece of preserved mammoth ivory (approximately 40,000 years old) is shaped into a dial that comes in around 1.7mm thick. From there, the dial is engraved with a map and a compass rose using traditional Scrimshaw techniques.Scrimshaw is a special type of engraving that can be traced back to the Inuits and other t
Breitling sold -- Marketing to focus on Digital forgo magazines and bilboards
As a marketing guy and a Breitling owner I thought that the statement by the new owner of Breitling, CVC, was very interesting: they are going to focus on Digital marketing (and distribution). I think anyone in marketing, especially evidenced based marketing has thought to themselves Swiss Watchmakers are pissing money away on billboards and magazines. I know I have, infant I wrote a proposal about for Breitling about how they need to take control of their SERPs.

Can a small hair/dust stop your watch?
Just got back my PO saphire back from service (authorized service) and notice (with a loupe) a small hair/dust fixed on a screw. If it gets loose can it stop the watch? Please note this is not visible on naked eyes. But is there, should i take it back? It took 5 months, to get the service done.ThanksEnviado de meu SM-G955F usando Tapatalk
