Ball Fireman Racer Classic Review
Ball Watch Co. has an interesting history that dates back to the late 1800's. Following a train wreck in 1891, Webb C. Ball, then a prominent jeweler in Cleveland, Ohio, was appointed Chief Time Inspector of the railways. He implemented Standard Time for all railways (a relatively new concept) as well as rigorous checks and requirements for railway employees. For more info, check our brand highlight. The current incarnation of the brand manufactures watches in Switzerland, using ETA/Selitta movements and a handful of technologies that set them apart. Their watches are all designed with the maxim "Accuracy Under Adverse Conditions" at their heart, which is noticeable in their testing for shock resistance and anti-magnetism. Anyone know if Piguet 1285 moments have overwind protection?
Just curious if my Blue AT (Omega cal 3301) has overwind protection or not...
Which of these 3 gets your nod?
Hi everyone,I'm going to be purchasing my first Omega shortly. The 3 left in contention are:1) Seamaster 300 (black bezel and dial-model #2254.50-discontinued)2) Seamaster 300 titanium (black dial-model #2231.50)3) 42mm Planet Ocean (Black dial and bezel-model #2201.50)This watch will be my daily wearer. Personally, i like all 3 of the models, but thought i would ask for opinions from those with more experience and knowledge as to your recommendations regarding the pros and cons of each of these. Additionally, what type (% wise) discount should i be looking for off list on these models, and, do any of you have any AD's that you would strongly recommend and will ship out of state? Please feel free to send me a PM if you don't feel comfortable posting their contact info on here. Thanks for your help!
