A. Lange & S?hne Lays Cornerstone for New Factory Extension in Glashtte
German luxury watch brand A. Lange & S?hne took the next step in the expansion of its manufacture in Glashtte, in the state of Saxony, this week, with the laying of a cornerstone, which also contained an engraved time capsule, by Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid and company founder Walter Lange. The structural framework of the new five-storey building, the initiation of which took place back in September of 2012, now has a completed basement level and base plate, and the Dresden-based contractor handling the project, Wolff & Mller, has begun erecting the first walls for the entrance area on the ground level. This is the area in which Wilhelm Schmid and Walter Lange set the cornerstone in a ceremony on September 3. The artifacts in the time capsule include a newspaper, the current A. Lange & So?hne catalogue, the latest edition of the company’s in-house newsletter, and a deed with details about the construction project. In view of the continuous growth of the past years, our
In-Depth: A Detailed Look At Early Longines Chronographs, Including The Legendary 13ZN
PH Zhou is a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studies economics and computer science. He is a devoted enthusiast of vintage watches – in particular early- to mid-20th-century chronographs. When we talk about vintage chronograph movements, there are many deserving of our attention – from the relatively common Valjoux 72 that powers anything from a Rolex Daytona to a Gallet Multichron 12, to the exceedingly rare and complicated Caliber 13-130 that resides in a Patek 1518 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph. However, as much as it is a sin to claim this for the latter, neither of the two movements we just mentioned are truly "in-house," since the Caliber 13-130 is still ultimately based on a Valjoux ebauche. In fact, the number of companies that produced both watches and movements were few and far between. 1 OF 45 Longines 13ZN in steel C notice the beautiful blued hands and sector dial. Aqua Terra Incoming
Latest addition. I've maintained the Aqua Terra is not only Omegas best looking watch but possibly the best looking watch in modern mass-produced watchmaking. To me, it's perfect.I've owned the grey dial but the opaline has a certain something that makes it sporty and classic at the same time

5167A or VC Overseas Grey Dial
I'm having a difficult time deciding between a PP 5167A Aquanaut (time +date) and the VC Overseas deep stream (grey dial time+date) on a rubber strap. This watch will more than likely be my daily. I know the 5167 is a great watch. Are there are any pros or cons to either model that I should know about before making my final decision?
