How do you rank the trilogy
Hey guys,Let's consolidate the discussion here. So how do you see them? The tombstone on the trilogy quickly distinguished any thoughts I had on the box. All these appear to be clear winners, of course any of this is subject to change based on actually seeing them IRL. AD visit--5711/1R
Stopped by my AD here in HK and was surprised to see stock of the 5711/1R. They also had a 5980/1R, as well. There is a waitlist for most popular pieces since the price drop so I thought it quite unusual to see the 5711/1R in particular.Thoughts: I was expecting the 5711/1R to be much heavier but it was perfectly balanced. Makes me want the P version even more The dial seemed a bit off to me--I really prefer the dial color on the 5980/1R in combination with an R version or maybe even a blue. Not a buyer but I thought I'd share some pics. And of course, the 5980/1R is simply amazing--a grail of mine. PM me if your interested and I'll let you know where. Hey all,I think I'm gonna take another swing at Panerai. I love the ceramic line, and before we get started you should know I owned a Radiomir 292. I really enjoyed the watch, but realized after a relatively short period of time the wire lugs weren't really my favorite flavor.So I spent some time at the AD yesterday and realized I want a 44mm Luminor 1950. I also fell hard for the Ti case on the 351. I think the tone of the metal looks amazing with the brown dial and strap.At this moment I am most interested in the Titanium 351 and the Ceramic 441, and I am very open to other suggestions. Missing my Sub more than I thought I would
A few weeks ago I picked up a 14060M Z-serial. It's a beautiful watch and I couldn't be happier, but it was running about +15 secs/day and had a couple of scratches on the bezel and crystal, so I wanted to get it serviced and repaired as needed. RSC said they had no record of it being serviced and there weren't any indications inside the case that it had been worked on before. It's a 10-year old watch, so it's probably time.Yesterday I dropped it off at RSC Dallas and less than 24 hours later I'm missing it on my wrist more than I thought I would. I'm currently wearing a Stowa Antea Klassik KS, which is a fine watch, but it's no 5-digit Sub, that's for sure :)No real point to this post, other than crying to you fine gents since my wife won't want to listen to me talk about how I miss a watch
