Ernest Borel has launched a free iPhone app for watch aficionados as well as individuals interested in obtaining more information about the brand’s heritage and current model line-up. The app also contains information about the brand’s marketing activities and ambassadors. The application opens to show a model from the Borel Chrono Collection displaying the current time and date. Vintage Speedy Service Question
Hi Everyone- I need some advice regarding servicing of my father's vintage Speedmaster. I've received a diagnostic test from Omega and they've said that even with the full service the waterproofness of the piece cannot be guaranteed due to excessive wear of the case�� That seems odd to me because new gaskets, seals, etc. will be put in (verified with the rep). Also, they will change my hands to luminova but will leave the original tritium dial. Has anyone heard of the waterproof issue? Is there anyone in the tri-state area that is trusted to service Omega watches to keep the piece vintage?If the chronograph didn't develop an issue I'd have never brought it in but unfortunately a service is needed one way or anotherThanks in advance!

My Latest Acquisition: Omega SMP Chronograph
Just thought I would share a few shots. Picked this one up from a great member here on TRF. I absolutely LOVE the way the watch looks. And to make it even better, it's been 48 hours and the watch is only a second slow. I'm really lucking out with these super accurate time pieces! Excuse the poor quality shots as these were taken with my iphone 4.

Manual Winding
With Patek's manual winding watches like the 5070 or the 3919, can you wind them too much, or do you just wind them until the crown won't go any further? And, is it best to wind them fully each time, or only wind them enough for a day or two?
