Top 10 Watches Of Baselworld 2014
Baselworld 2014 marks the fifth anniversary of watches-dealer visiting the massive watch trade show event and at this point, our March/April pilgrimage to the third most populated city in Switzerland (not actually saying much) is met with gracious welcome by many of the brands who produce the best watches in the world. Baselworld is the larger of the annual watch trade shows around the world. While SIHH in January (in Geneva) is smaller, it is also an important event where a different list of important brands display their newest watch and jewelry creations. For your reference you can check out our list of the top 10 watches of SIHH 2014 to recall the timepieces we felt were the most worth knowing about. We make it part of our coverage to provide watches-dealer audience members with a list of what we feel is going to be of importance or worth your hard-earned income over the next few years. No "top list" is complete nor is it totally inclusive of everything that is cool. For that you'll
NEW to AP. DUAL TIME
I recently was able to get my first AP. I chose to get a AP dual time SS in black as the GMT feature is what I need.My wrist is not big with barely 6.5 inches, so the watch size is perfect. I wear the watch everyday and have got used to it. Couple of things to note are1. No second hand. This is weird as I cant tell how much seconds I'm gaining or losing per day or tell if the watch is running lol2. scratches very easily. This I dont mind as I wear this watch everyday. But recently i banged it lightly on a door and there are three big dents on the edge of the bezel.3. the luminescence is not bright at all. I dont know if any other AP watch is like this, but unless I put the watch in front of direct light for a couple of minutes, I can barely tell time in the dark.4. No one recognizes this watch at all. Only one person has asked about it and that was at a rolex AD. I hope to get another AP soon or maybe a nautilus next. Will try to add pictures later if I find out how.
YG Submariner or YG Daytona?
The YG Submariner has always been a massive grail of mine, but last night I had a wonderful conversation with a gentleman wearing a YG Daytona with champagne dial and black sub-dials. I was blown away by the beauty of this watch, and it got me thinking... which do you guys prefer as a YG sports Rolex: The Submariner or the Daytona? I would love to hear your opinions, and of course, enjoy any pictures that you'd like to share!
Just bought a brand new Sub

How to Stay Passionate About Your Collection
Not all of us have the funds to scratch every itch or to keep adding pieces to a collection. I think having aesthetically and technically distinctive watches in one's collection helps keep one passionate about and engaged with one's collection. What do you all think? To that end, I think a five watch collection is attainable and every collection needs the following (1) a beater, (2) a diver, a chronograph or other non-date complication, (3) a dress watch, (4) a curiosity piece, and (5) a grail. One's selection for each category should be strategic, contemplating how to avoid aesthetic and technical redundancies. An ideal collection could contain the following pieces: Beater: Casio Men's GR8900A-1 G-Shock Tough Solar Digital. For those of us with higher incomes, a quality diver will seem like an ideal beater. Selecting a diver can result in a technical/aesthetic redundancy in your selection of a diver watch or curiosity piece.Diver: Hulk--I think the Hulk is the ideal diver because i
