Tourbillon Boutique Opens on Wall Street
The Swatch Group’s multi-brand Tourbillon boutique is now open for business on Wall Street. Along with the Omega boutique on Fifth Avenue, this is the second upscale Swatch Group-owned retail location to open in New York City in April. The Wall Street location is the second U.S.A. Tourbillon boutique; the first is in Southern California’s South Coast Plaza. Tourbillon is a watch and jewelry boutique that brings the Swatch Group's prestige brands together under one roof. The brands currently presented in the Tourbillon boutiques are Breguet, Blancpain, Glash��tte Original, Jaquet Droz, L��on Hatot and Omega. A selection of exclusive watches and jewelry from the parent company's namesake Swatch brand is also featured.In addition to the U.S.A. locations, there are five Tourbillon boutiques in Switzerland (Crans-Montana, Montreux, St. Moritz, Lausanne and Lugano). Back a few years ago when the money flowed like wine - the luxury watch world was known to take generous, deep sips from the pool. It was a gold age of new ideas, brands and designs. A promising brand that might not reach the next decade is DeWitt. I've always liked the majority of their designs, and found their philosophy intriguing. This is one of their coolest models in my opinion. A neat looking perpetual calendar watch with a GMT hand. Sure, it is an expensive watch, but it is a relic from an era - communicating the exuberance of an era, which hearkening back to the roaring 20s with its art deco look.The 43mm case came in two variants (matched to a black or white textured dial). The cases either had white or rose gold, mixed with black ceramic and polished titanium. I've checked out these pieces before, and they are nicely made with really bold designs. Hiking with a Breitling
Went to Providence Canyon State Park this weekend.
