Breitling Avenger Seawolf Code Yellow Watch
This is an exclusive first look at a new Breitling limited edition version of the Avenger Seawolf dive-style watch called the Avenger Seawolf Code Yellow. There isn't too much different here compared to the standard Avenger Seawolf aside from the black-coated steel case and yellow accents, but the design certainly his a sweet spot mixing military style with serious diver functionality. Breitling watch lovers will also recognize that the Avenger Seawolf? Code Yellow is a modern three-hand version of the popular older limited edition Breitling Super Avenger Blacksteel Chronograph watch (pictured below). The Breitling Avenger Seawolf Code Yellow is 45mm wide and is water resistant to 3,000 meters. Not that you'll ever need to dive that deep, but Breitling likes to give you the option (but even James Bond won't be going anywhere close to that depth without being in a machine). This style of watch is quite different than that majority of highly polished steel Breitling watches that you typic
Bulgari Grande Sonnerie Perpetual Calendar watch
All the functions are skillfully arranged on an 18-carat pink-gold dial with an alternating lacquered finish. It also features an opaline anthracite and snailed surface coating. Partially open-worked, the dial of the new Bulgari Grande Sonnerie Perpetual Calendar watch boasts elegant Roman numerals. Among other keynotes of the display are semi-transparent sapphire discs indicating the days and months.
PIAGET Emperador Coussin XL 700P
1976. The year that brought us U2, The Clash and The Cure Whilst our ears listened to new tempos, our Swiss watches beat to the rhythm of quartz movements. Just like the 7P which Piaget brought us in 1976, the slimmest of its generation. Forty years on and the brand is still in touch with its electronic roots. The new Emperador Coussin XL 700P sees Piaget pair quartz with a great mechanism. What's the idea? The traditional escapement is replaced by a generator which produces electricity to make quartz vibrate. It's the same as dynamo hubs in bikes. What you get is no friction, no energy loss and precision that varies by 0.2s per day! The hybrid mechanism is showcased by a reverse dial-free construction meaning the hour and minute hands glide over the ultra-slim self-winding mechanical calibre. The stylish all-black timepiece oozes luxury watchmaking and high precision. Price: 70,000 CHF (118 available). Dan Diaconujaquet droz
Introducing: The New Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Reference 26574 (Details, Official Pricing)
Audemars Piguet has released a new take on one of its most popular model, the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. The latest iteration follows the release of the last QP wristwatch in 2012 with an upgraded and upsized movement, a slightly more complicated display, clearer dial, and larger case size. All details below. 1 OF 6 The Reference 26574.1220 comes in four different versions, two in stainless steel and two in rose gold with either a navy blue or silvered "Grande Tapisserie" dial. Due to the enlarged case size (now 41mm up from 39mm), the dial and its indications are more legible. Dial display includes: day, date, astronomical moon, month, leap year, and now the 52 weeks of the year displayed on an outer chapter ring via an third center-mounted hand. 2 OF 63 OF 6 4 OF 65 OF 6 The new automatic caliber 5134 movement, visible through the sapphire crystal case back, is slightly larger (to accommodate the new case) than the earlier caliber 2120
Interesting trip to pp ad
I swung into my locale patek ad today to price out an aquanaut. After talking for a bit he offered a 10% discount and stated that patek makes about 39000 watches per year and about 10% of those are in stainless steel which is why the discounts are low on the steel models, he also said that they can not keep aquanaut on their shelves and have a waiting list for when one does come in. The funny part is that as I was leaving he offered me 12% off a steel aquanaut on rubber if I paid with anything other then an Amex. I showed interest and he checked his computer for inventory and informed he does not have any at any of his stores ( which is what he had told me when I originally asked) but will call me if he gets one in. Other then the salesmen bs is there any truth behind his production numbers and steel vs precious metal numbers. Just curious.
