Tips for Attending Baselworld
Baselworld 2010 runs from March 18 to 25 and it’s open to the public. Admission is CHF 60.00 for a 1-day pass, or CHF 150.00 for an 8-day pass. The doors are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and until 4 p.m. on March 25.If you're thinking of attending, here are some quick tips:The Fair is held at the Basel Exhibition Center, known locally as Messe Basel. Hall No. 1 is the main building where the big watch brands are located. Other buildings also house watch exhibitors �C check maps available at the Fair to find out who is where.Who won't be there: not all brands attend Baselworld. Many large brands show at the SIHH in Geneva in January, and SIHH is open only to the trade and invited guests. The limited edition of Tag Heuer Monaco V4 Watch
The movement used belts of small rather than gear trains for much of the movement. The first watch made in Platinum in a limited edition of 150 pieces. I have written on the Tag Heuer Monaco V4 original watches here and here. Now Tag Heuer brings the Monaco V4, in a slightly larger case (41 mm wide compared to 39 mm wide) and ceramic and the rose of gold ruthenium. The dial is black with various colours and elements of gold and pink. This time it will be limited to only 60 parts.

Breitling Experts -Your advice & knowledge, PLEASE!!
I mostly hang out in the Rolex posts as the wife and I have 7 of their watches, but we are also Breitling owners. A few years ago, I purchased a Breitling Cockpit with a TT steel bracelet. It has been trouble-free watch and keeps great time and is well made.. I bought my Cockpit BNIB for a great price -45% off retail. I quite agree with the posters in other threads that it is a big error to buy a Breitling at retail. You take a big hit after the door closes.Breitling is also being slammed by some for using cheap ETA sourced movements, although they have recently started their own manufacture. Rolex, of course, has all their in-house movements tested by COSC standards, but so does Breitling who even provides the COSC certificate enclosed with their watches.I have a chance to purchase a BNIB Breitling for Bentley Mark V1 for a 60% discount. I have always been attracted to the Breitling Bentley line, as well as the actual vechicles they represent. I believe the watch should be termed NOS,

Looking to get into my first patek.. what do you guys think about the 5034g white gold? Or is there something better in that price range.

Moving away from 392, need recommendations
I currently wear a PAM 392, a beautiful watch, but I'm really having a hard time wearing it, even though it's 42mm the thickness is way to much for a comfortable wear, I think it's about 18mm thick, so I will eventually sell, I'm trying to find a replacement Panerai that checks few boxes for me, but with the way Panerai randomly numbers their models it's getting impossible to find something on my own, The one that checks all my boxes is the PAM 1392, slim 42mm but it has this blue seconds hand that ruined it for me, so here's what I'm looking for:-Prefer 42 or 44-only Luminor or Luminor 1950 case, no radiomir -manual or automatic, don't care much for in house movement either.-sits flatter on the wrist without much heft to it-brushed case only (that's were it's getting difficult for me)-simple clean dial, with or without seconds hand.-value around $5000-5500 new or pre owned-prefer a black dial, chocolate dial is ok-sandwich dial preferred The PAM 176 is a good option, with its brushed
