ROO Lug / Strap Questions
I've been looking at a lot of ROOs, and I noticed what seems like 2 types of bands / lugs. What I think is the old style has lugs on the outside (kind of standard setup), whereas what I believe is the new style has what look like inset hinged lugs, and a staggered band.So my questions:1. Am I right in the old / new assumptions?2. Are the old ones less desirable / resellable?3. Are there rubber straps available with the old lug setup?4. As between 5970G and 5970J, which do you prefer and why?A few personal thoughts:1. 5970J appears to have been the least produced having been in production for only 1 year and with approx. 450 produced vs. approx. 850 of the 5970G.2. Yellow gold feels more vintage and timeless. White gold is more versatile and may stand the test of time better. 3. Yellow gold might have more character as opposed to white gold. Can't believe I am asking this PAM winding question...
So my PAM Booklet tells you me that if your watch has been sitting for a while, give the watch a few winds at the zero position of the crown...Now we all know with a Rolex, it's forty turns of the crown or so for a full wind.What constitutes a full wind on say a 312?
