Custom watches have been around for as long as there has been a watch industry. The idea is that a client goes to "their brand" and says "make this for me." Embarrassed by white ceramic diver / Design flaw
Last night I met up some friends at the beach for beers. After some time I was trying to check the time as I have to leave at 10pm for another gathering. To my surprise I cannot read the time off my AP at all. I have to ask another who can read the time easily off his G-shock. All my friends starting laughing if the AP on my wrist is a watch or bangles?This morning looking closely at the dial I realized that there is no lume on the hour hand and hour markers.I think this a a big design flaw from AP especially on a diver watch which is very likely to be use in dark environment.Do you guys agreed with the design flaw?I want to feedback my disappointment to AP and I was further disappointed. Hey Guys,I have posted about the unfortunate demise of my OEM AP Deployment Buckle and how I was using an OEM AP ROO Rubber Strap with an AP Bands Tang buckle. It was an adequate solution until I could figure out what I was going to do about the deployment buckle situation but the aftermarket buckle always kind of bugged me. I recently acquired an OEM AP Diver Strap with the OEM Tang buckle. After owning a Panerai, strap changes have become almost a necessity for me. I also found, after wearing a Panerai, that the AP was much more traditional in its proportions and seemed quite narrow at the buckle. In fact, after a year and half of wearing the AP, I had gotten used to the more traditional proportions of the AP strap, so, the diver was a bit of a shock in that it is quite wide throughout its length, much like a Panerai. Hi Folks,I'm normally in the Rolex Vintage Forum across the hall. I have an opportunity to pick up a really neat looking Seamaster 300 but would like some of you professionals to take a look at the dial for me. It appears to be a 1965ish model with a date, but aside from that it's a crap shoot otherwise. Any insight would be highly appreciated.Pete
