AP ROO carbon
Hi allI have fallen in love with the new AP Carbon ROO (pic is one on my wrist)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1338017851.778379.jpgI have a question on the durability and toughness of carbon in watches. I have read on a blog recently that carbon is not a good material for a watch case as it is prone to chipping.Does anyone own a carbon watch and able to give some real life advice.I do not baby my watches and love to wear them and do not want to buy something that I will be consistently worried about.Any real life opinions very welcome before I pull the trigger. Thanks! for my Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph. Anyone know where i can purchase a new one?TIA
Boxes
Quick question - Have the PP's always come with the fancy wood-grained box? I've seen many in the traditional cardboard case with all paperwork; was wondering if the fancy box was relatively new or not. Mine came (from a trusted seller) with all paperwork and manuals but not the wood-grained box. Thanks!
wanting to push go on pam 392
so my last purchase was a submariner and now i have decided that i would definitely love a panerai 392. meets all the criteria. date without bubble, 42mm, SS etc. but i have a conundrum. i could buy it in the uk new but pay a premium or wait until i go on holiday later this year and buy it from a official dealer for a saving of 1000 plus the tax(i guess, having not looked into it). i am not in any rush but i was hoping for some wise words from the forum
Question about Rolex Explorer 114270
I've never bought a watch used before, and have been eyeing a new Datejust 116200. However, the more I research, the more and more I like the Explorer 114270 (36 mm). What is a fair price for one of these in good condition? What types of questions should I be asking and/or signs I should be aware of as I'm researching the purchase?Cheers!
