Today, we go hands-on with the Breitling Emergency (not Kelly’s mind you). 1 OF 12 A follow up to the 1995 Emergency, this version (originally introduced as the Emergency II, although the "II" has been dropped) the watch presents an improved personal locator beacon (PLB) capable of transmitting its coordinates on two separate frequencies. The decision to create a dual-frequency version of the original Emergency is a result of the decision, by emergency beacon monitoring agency Cospas-Sarsat, to phase out its satellite monitoring at the long-standard 121.5 MHz aviation emergency frequency &ndash

Breitling v Rolex?
Alright, we all know that Rolex and Breitling both produce great watches that are respected by aviators. Most of the big jet captains I meet as part of my career wear either (with most tending to sport GMTs)..rolexforums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gifHow do you think Breitling and Rolex compete at every level? Breitling seems to be sold everywhere and are not as exclusive, which to me cheapens the brand. In addition, their product line is all over the map, like TAG.Your thoughts?

Fellas (and ladies), Thank You so much for all the information and advice/tips re everything Rolex.....I have been on the Omega Discussion Board of this site (and another!) at the same time and have finally decided to go OMEGA - Planet Ocean to be exact...(just whch one????????) I have been after a PP for the wife now for almost year. We travelled to Paris & found our way to the Patek shop in Place Vendome.She saw a 5146R & that was it. Picked it up this week from my AD & was going to wait to give it to her on her real birthday in February but could not wait.Here it is with my 5960R
