Hands-On: The Van Cleef & Arpels Ronde Des Papillons, With On-Demand Dial Animation
Van Cleef & Arpels, usually associated with those little clover earrings and necklaces, has expanded its Poetic Complications collection this year with the Lady Arpels Ronde des Papillons watch (you may have read Jack's review of the Midnight Nuit Lumineuse, which was another addition to the collection this year). The Ronde des Papillons is a highly complicated and “feminine” watch that indicates the time with three butterflies (yes, you read that correctly). Now, before you click away because butterflies “aren’t your thing,” this watch was one of the more technically advanced watches seen this year at SIHH and deserves a closer look. 1 OF 6 The Lady Arpels Ronde is another impressive poetic complication. The watch features a 38 mm white-gold case with the bezel set with diamonds and an intricate engraving on the case back (of more butterflies). 2 OF 6 Okay, so first things first: the dial. My AP Clearwater Service Review With Pics
I recently needed to send my SS AP ROO 44mm in for warranty work. I dealt with Lindsay at Clearwater from the beginning. Very nice and very professional. The problem I had with my watch was a tear in the rubber strap which has never happened to me before on any of my rubber strap ROOS.. Even more weird is it was happening on the very last hole and I don't wear my strap on that hole. So I contacted Clearwater and sent some pictures. They said they need to see the watch. I was told If it's not covered under warranty, then I will have to pay for a $100 shipping kit (which covers shipping round trip) and I would have to pay something like $400 for a new rubber strap if I decide to replace it at that point. Defect here:I explained to Lindsay I have had the watch for only 1 year, it does not have 1 scratch on it, literally brand new condition, being it doesn't find much time in my regular rotation... So I hope when they see the condition of the watch, they will do the right thing and cover u
very happy with 15400
I was undecided between this and 15202. Finally make decision to grab 15400 after few times put the watch on my wrist. I was considering the size of 15400 would be too big for me. My wrist size is just close to 7 inches. Now I am very happy with my decision. 15400 sits perfectly on my wrist and gives sporty look I desired. Hence, I can save the extra money should I've purchased 15202 towards saving for PP Aquanaut 5167. Thanks to all forum members. Reading through all of your guys very knowledgable postings makes me arrive at the right path of choosing the most suitable RO for me
1975 Speedmaster question..
Hi all, I recently acquired a 1975 Omega Speedmaster model ST176.0012 and wondered why the screw down back is inscribed with Seamaster..I have checked other day dates from that era, and this seems correct. Why is this??
