Hajime Asaoka Project T Tourbillon Indepedent Japanese Watch
High-end, independent, and self-taught Japanese watchmaker Hajime Asaoka presents his second watch, the Project T Tourbillon - and it is beautiful. We introduced Hajime Asaoka back in 2011 when he released his first Tourbillon watch. The Hajime Asaoka Project T continues where he left off the with first tourbillon, further extending his cool and masculine art deco sense of style.Interestingly enough, the Hajime Asaoka Project T Tourbillon watch is a collaboration project between Hajime Asaoka and two other companies. Is this watch for charity, or with a sports team, or is there some other type of lifestyle connection? No such BS in the world of Hajime Asaoka - for the Hajime Asaoka Project T watch he worked with two tooling and milling companies! One is the OSG Corporation that makes precision cutting tools, and the second is Yuki, a major company that produces precision machining equipment. Of course each helped with the production of the watch. When you are a small independent watchma

PO 8500 Lume Shots
I just took a couple lume shots. Long exposures aren't done very well on my point and shoot, but you get the idea. I love the blue and green lume. Both of my Omegas had better lume than my GMTIIC.Once my other Omega stuff comes in, I will either dig out one of my better cameras (Hasselblad or Mamiya, both with digital backs) and get some better shots for all to see.Rob.
waterproof 116710LN
I had a question for you guys familiar with the technical aspect of the waterproofing process I had a Sub about 10 years ago that that I had a problem with.I waited to service it about 9 years when I went in to get the service done they did an estimate at the service center and told me that somehow water or water vapor managed to cause the dial to flake is this related to steam or maybe showering with the watch on a frequent basis I also wear the watch at the gym frequently wood either the hot tub or the sauna cause any problems do you think. At the time it was about a $1,500 bill to have the dial replaced all the hands were placed and complete the service I really don't want to have to go through with that again ever by all means please give me your opinions on this
Rolex AD or difficulty sourcing in Thailand?
I'll be going to Thailand soon from Houston TX. All ADs here locally have not been able to supply me with a BLNR yet so I was wondering how difficult it was in Thailand. I will going through Frankfurt to Phuket to Bangkok. Is it even worth my time to stop by ADs to see if they have a BLNR and if so, any reccomendations? Also, with the exchange rate (Baht to USD) and declaring taxes etc, would I even come out ahead of my ~$9700.00 it will cost me in the US from an AD after taxes? Thanks!
