Richard Mille Partners with Natalie Portman and Free the Children Charity
Richard Mille has added to its already impressive roster of celebrity “friends of the brand” a lineup that includes tennis ace Rafael Nadal, golfer Bubba Watson and racecar driver Felipe Masa by welcoming award-winning actress Natalie Portman into the fold at an exclusive dinner at New York City’s St. Regis Hotel. The actress who won the Oscar and Golden Globe, among other awards, for her lead role in 2010’s Black Swan, wore a conflict-free diamond-set version of the first Richard Mille ladies’ model, the RM 007 Automatic. The watch (pictured below; click for larger image) has both a natural rubber and synthetic strap options. Richard Mille, the brand’s founder and namesake, announced at the dinner that Portman, Like Nadal, Watson, and several other Richard Mille collaborators, would be working with him to develop a limited-edition timepiece and that proceeds from its sales would support the international charity, Free The Children.Natalie Portm
Audemars Piguet Square Royal Oak from the 80s-90s - info or opinions?
Hello All,I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight regarding my most recent purchase. I was specifically looking for an 80s watch and it doesnt get more 80s than this (square/angular style, two tone, and quartz). Although I was looking for a vintage thunderbird/turnograph or datejust from this time period, when i saw this, i let my impulse get the best of me.From my research, all I could gather is that this seems like a newer square royal oak because it has a date feature (might actually be from the 90s maybe?). But I dont know the model number or anything else. If someone can chime in with more information, that would be great. The only thing written on the watch is the serial number on the back. Also, feel free to let me know what you guys think about this watch. It is kinda dated, but I find it very unique and intriguing.Collectors say to avoid vintage quartz watches. But avoiding quartz watches is basically ignoring the 70s and 80s i'd say.
Ceramic Diver vs SS Diver weight and comfort?
I owned the original SS Diver a few years ago but sold it because I found it too uncomfortable. The buckle and case back both had sharp edges that tended to dig into my wrist, plus the watch was fairly heavy.I love the look of the Ceramic Diver but would it wear any differently than my old Diver did?
Show me some Lume shots!

Buyer's Remorse (sort of)
I'm the proud owner of a black laquer dial SMP 300m ceramic. It is one of the most beautifully designed watches out there (IMHO). Great tool watch and it's been running at a steady +2/day since I got it months ago. After purchasing the watch, I became more interested in the Omega brand and have studied about it in great lengths. I'm fascinated with the legacy of the Speedy Pro and now understand what all the fuss is about. It's an icon, not only for Omega, but for the entire watch world. Although I love my SMP and have no plans to sell it, I feel that if I had gone with the Speedy Pro I would not only be wearing a watch, but also a piece of history. My next purchase will be the Explorer 39mm, but will the Moon Watch be far off?
