Blancpain 500 Fathoms No. 1/1 for Only Watch
For Only Watch 2009, Blancpain has created the unique 500 Fathoms Only Watch No. 1/1. The 48mm diameter 500 Fathoms is water-resistant to 1000 meters. An automatic decompression valve housed inside the brushed titanium case guarantees the watch's security and reliability. The unique anthracite gray dial sports a carbon fiber center. A tinted blue sapphire ring provides a transparent view of the date disc rotating beneath a window at 6 o'clock. The luminescent coating applied to the hour markers, bezel markings and hands, along with the red tip of the central seconds hand, ensure optimal read-off in all circumstances. The easy-grip raised notched unidirectional rotating bezel facilitates handling, while the titanium and scratchproof sapphire crystal bezel is slightly domed to reduce the risk of impacts. The sapphire crystal case-back allows the owner to admire the self-winding Calibre 1315 with its hand-decorated oscillating weight shaped like a boat propeller. Wyler Tourbillon WT3: The First Poin?on du Jura Watch
Wyler Genve’s WT3 Tourbillon is the first timepiece to be produced under the new Poin?on du Jura quality label. To meet the Poin?on du Jura criteria, a movement must be 100% Swiss made, and at least 90% of the components must be made in the Jura C the heart of Switzerland's watchmaking industry. The movement must also be produced by a company that is independent from any watchmaking group. The plates and bridges for the skeletonized WT3 tourbillon movement are produced individually from blocks of raw material, with no mass production stamping involved. The WT3's flying tourbillon completes one rotation every 60 seconds from a balance operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and its manually-wound movement offers a 72-hour power reserve. The new WT3 models are available with the patented shock-absorbing Code-R case in matt black ceramic or 18-carat white gold. Inside this sandwich case, the movement is housed in a titanium container suspended on springs inside a carbon fiber frame
A. Lange & S?hne 1815 Chronograph Among 4 New Models Launching At Watches & Wonders 2015
It's pretty big news whenever A. Lange & S?hne release a new timepiece. Bigger still is the announcement that four new wristwatches will make their dbut at the upcoming haute horlogerie exhibition in Hong Kong. This will be the third such fair in the centre of the Asian market, and Lange deemed it an appropriate platform by which to launch their new collection, which includes the A. Lange & S?hne 1815 Chronograph, because of the continent's strong links to manufacture and the growing enthusiasm for high-end watches in the region.Building on the success of its first two years, the haute horlogerie exhibition in Hong Kong, entitled Watches & Wonders, will run from September 30th to October 3rd, 2015. A. Lange & S?hne is the only brand of the twelve exhibitors that hails from Germany. For a country with such an admirable history in watchmaking, the brand carries a great deal of responsibility to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, which will host the event. As
LOVE my new Speedmaster Pro Tintin!
I am usually not the kind of person to post an incoming (still have to properly introduce my BLNR in the Rolex section) but I am so happy with my new acquisition that I would like to give it due credits!Long story short, I started in the (serious) watch world in 1998 when I rewarded myself with a Seamaster Pro 300m diver (aka the Bond watch or 2531.80 for you geeks!). Wore that one for 16 years straight when I stumbled The Rolex Forum as I was increasing my knowledge for my new passion of really serious watches. Had long been eyeing the Speedy Pro but the Rolex GMT Master-2 was starting to catch my eye and I had a new admiration for Rolex as a brand (used to dislike them quite a lot as the cheesy glitzy old DD and other TT DJ were never my cup of tea... I will admit). Eventually, I got a 3570.50 and as much as I loved it at first sight, it proved to not be a daily wearer for me as it was lacking the date and I felt that the hesalite was a bit too prone to swirls. Decided to sell it to
Pushers on the 5164. Question for 5164 Owners.
Hey guys, was just wondering about the Pushers on the 5164 Travel Time.I feel they are quite easy to push in without much resistance, sometimes when I wear my suit, I get surprised to find they have somehow been pushed possibly by the cuffs or the suit cuffs, and have to adjust the time back myself.Do any 5164 owners have this problem? Also, the pushers don't feel like they have much resistance, is it truly a 120m waterproof watch? Would you guys wear it to shower everyday? or even swim?
