Philadelphia GTG at Omega Boutique King of Prussia Saturday March 8th 6:30-8:30pm
Greetings!I figured I'd post this here so we can get as many watch enthusiasts as possible to attend. I've organized a get-together at the Omega Boutique in King of Prussia from 6:30pm-8:30pm this Saturday, March 8th. The Boutique will provide free appetizers and drinks and will hopefully have on hand some unusual pieces for you to try on! I know that they have the new pre-Baselworld 2014 Speedmaster Mark II, for example! Here's the sticky on Watchuseek (hopefully this doesn't violate any rules):forums.watchuseek/f20/ear...ia-972593.htmlIf you can make it, please attend and bring anyone you think might enjoy it! It's not strictly necessary, but I'd appreciate if you could post in this thread if you plan to come, just so I can keep a very rough head count. Since the theme is rare and unusual Omegas, please bring your rare or unusual modern or vintage Omega watches to show off. :)Thanks, and I hope to see you there!
Late for a meeting? I don't think so!
Here is a little story you might all appreciate....So, I go to the weekly staff meeting and much to my surpise, I am the last one there. That seemed odd because I am never the last one.I looked at my Seamaster and its 9:57. I remarked that I was surprised everyone was there on time. My boss said I was late. I said, I don't think so. Its 9:57. He looked at the clock on the wall and said, Its 10:01. I said, Actually, I think your clock is wrong because I set my watch to time.gov run by National Institute of Standards. Boss says, How do you know your watch is right. I say, Because it is certifide by the official Swiss testing institute.Everyone looked dumbfounded. Discussion over. Seamaster, ~$3,000. Dogging your boss, priceless.Pete
Some help? 533, 531, 351
Hey guys,Its been a while since posting but the watch bug has bitten again. So tried to stay away from the Pam's. Checked a Rolex GMT Master II but it just doesn't suit me for some reason, I love seeing them on others but not me. AP 15400... strange looking on my wrist but might be because I have seen the 15300 in the wild and that is a better size/proportion.I used to like the IWC Spitfire 3878 but after trying on a 1950's Luminor case... I really want one.So I am torn between the 531 and the 533. The 351 is kind of a semi distant 3rd, mainly because I find the titanium too light for a PAM :)The tobacco dial and gold hands are lovely though. So the 531 has me at 24 hr traditional GMT, like my 297, however it is quite similar to my 297....The 533 has that lovely 10 day reserve and I have really enjoyed the 7days the my IWC Portuguese gives me. I also would have loved to have the 270 back when I got my 297, but funds were a different situation back then.I do not really plan on selling t
