Black Bay Fifty Eight fabric strap???
Black Bay Fifty Eight fabric strap?It looks to me that the gorgeous fabric strap is now a third model alongside the steel bracelet and leather strap can anyone confirm this. I really hope that the fabric strap comes with both the bracelet or leather as an 'extra' as per the other Black Bays.
Need some opinions please (Day Date)
Just looking for some views from everyone on my next pick up. Long story short the Day Date has always been my grail watch and finally it's time to jump on one. Originally I was totally sold on the Pink gold, Green dial 60th Anniversary Day Date but having recently tried on a different Rose gold Day Date I realised that the rose just isn't for me and my skin tone sadly. So now it's yellow gold for me with the gold face, for me the classic Day Date I remembered from my childhood. So it's a 228238 for certain... I was totally set on the numerals as I love how they fill up the dial but I've been offered a great deal on a 228238 with the diamond baton markers. Thoughts please as I really need a few other opinions on this one.
Would you buy a Rolex from Banana Republic?
Thought this was interesting. BR is a clothing store in case you're not familiar. I'm not posting a direct link but here's a screenshot. This morning they had a 5 digit Sub (I think) listed for $7950 or so; it's since been removed. The dial that was pictured did not include the Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified text... but the bracelet looked more modern. Seemed fishy. Daytona with sapphire case back
Case back of from Thomas P from custom watch concept out of Germany, he doesn't answer emails but I purchased it anyways since there's a lot of reviews here on the TRF. My AD charged me 40.00 to install and pressure test. I love to see the movement even though it's not at AP level. It's reversible so it's no big deal to go back to OEM.
