Magrette Moana Pacific Watch Giveaway Winner
It is a definite indication that you readers are serious watch lovers when you are willing to kindly provide a photo update after winning a nice watch. Last month's aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer watch giveaway was for New Zealand's own Magrette Moana Pacific watches, and winner Chris K. shares with us his thoughts and some 'wrist candy' for you see. Here are a few words from him, and images (he did his best to capture the watch. You can always see more pics in my review of the Moana Pacific timepiece here. Also, quick note to you all, the lovely box that you see the Moana Pacific in and resting on does not come with the standard Moana Pacific watch. It is an upgraded watch box that can be upgraded to. Am I Crazy
Hello FriendsRecently I posted which AP I should add to my collection. I think I've decided to go with the Diver. Now am I crazy to trade my Daytona towards the Diver. I find the Daytona too shiny and the non date feature kind of bothers me. I'm also finding it difficult to wear anything but my AP right. Seriously am I losing it, or just appreciating higher quality craftsmanship. I know some will say, get what sings to you, but sometimes you need a TRF check before moving ahead. :)
Emergency or Navitimer for Pam 24
Hi everyone, I'm trying to get some advise. I'm seriously considering trading or selling either my Yellow dial Emergency or my Navitimer towards a Pam 24. In your opinion, which one should I keep? Which one is more of a 'keeper' I find myself hardly wearing either watch. Look forward to the opinions of the members. I want to choose 'wisely' and don't want to regret getting rid of either watch. Thanks,
Incoming 3570.40
Had been casually looking for a speedy and really liked the 3570.40 with the racing dial. They don't come up that often Hodinkee had one on their Friday feature from HQ milton and it sold in an hour for $5500 with no papers. Then I found one all complete and pretty unworn but they guy wanted $7500!resorted to just doing a dial swap... Even was in Tokyo and asked everywhere and ppl just laughed or shook their head. Then while in Miami of all places one pop'ed up. it was head only but had the original hand tag and the serials all matched up! I paid what I think was fair considering they don't show up often and I was in town. Been love ever since. the color combo IRL is stellar and and the pics online can't even compare. been wearing it non-stop and its kindled a desire for more speedy's!Bought a 1125 for it (need proper end links, can anyone help? called around none avail) and love the 1125 its a cross between a jubilee and sub bracelet. Also looks IMO way better on a 1125 then the cur
My Prediction About the New Jubilee GMT!
I believe what appears to be the new GMT on on a Jubilee will in fact be a SS Pepsi and not a Coke! Let's just say it's a hunch!
