Apple Hires Marc Newson, iWatch Smartwatch Watches Likely To Be Designed With His Help
Big news today as Apple has announced its official hiring of Australian designer Marc Newson, who will work directly with Apple's head of design (Sir) Jonathan Ive. My understanding is that Newson will retain his ability to work with third party clients, but don't expect him to be designing watches for anyone else. Apple hasn't specified what Marc Newson will be working on specifically, but I believe it is safe to say that his first major projects will be on the iWatch (or iTime, or whatever Apple decides to call its upcoming smartwatch device).Of course, the big question everyone has is whether or not Apple will announce a smartwatch device next week during their annual new product announcement conference. Finally put the rubber on the ROC
Following the lead of orangedial I decided to switch the AP Panda from the bracelet to a rubber strap to give it a different look. Starting my watch obsession with Panerai has made me enjoy the versatility and combinations different straps can bring to a watch and this is no different. Curious about sales numbers for each model
Hi folks,This is the first thread I've ever started, so please be gentle.In reading all the different threads and comments about limited availability for various steel professional models, I became curious about what the total sales figures might be on a model by model basis.I'm not referring to a dollar value amount, but a total number of units per year.I'm sure that this information isn't readily available from Rolex, but maybe some of you know or are affiliated with an AD or a trusted seller here that would have these numbers.Being located in Toronto these days, of particular interest to me would be to know what numbers of each model were sold last year in a typical large city in the US or Canada, or even out of a typically-sized AD...Thanks and I hope this proves to be of interest to folks on here.
