New from Baselworld 2014: Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Skull
Hublot, the watch brand known for its “fusion” of materials, unveils another new case material and some very eye-catching design elements in the movement with its Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Skull, the latest in its series of “skull” watches, introduced at the recent Baselworld 2014 watch fair. The material that Hublot uses for the case, bezel and crown of the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Skull is a type of ceramic-coated aluminum that is created through a treatment called MAO (Microarc Oxidation). The process involves surface conversion via plasma discharge in an electrolyte bath, forming a surface that is hard, dense and adhesive. The material’s micro-blasted finish, which gives this watch’s cases their distressed look, comes from manual sanding, ensuring that each case has a unique finish. The material (which Hublot has referred to as “ceramized aluminum”) has a hardness rating of around 1,000 Vickers, is highly resistant to corros
Fabulous Hublot Big Bang Polo de Paris Watch
I am amazed at events just how much the Big Bang watch may have a special, limited edition of and still seem to sense. Whether music, culture, racing, or here, Polo, the collection of the Big Bang has a limited-edition for the opportunity to watch. No design is as versatile, window seems to have offshore with their ability to be everywhere, all the time mark to view image.
Watch here began as a record, where a game of Polo had a team getting 80 goals, in an event sponsored by the window. Called the " Hublot, Perfect Polo Match ", this statement is placed at the back of the image on the exhibition Sapphire Crystal. "Paris" of the name watch part has to do with the fact that the Memorial match was held in Paris.
Which ROO 42 (for an active lifestyle)?
Hey,After receiving several great suggestions, I have narrowed down a list of AP ROO 42s that are lightweight, scratch resistant and durable plus style and looks are important.Probably going to pass on the RM (for now), mainly because of cost, not because I don't love it.Anyway, here are 5 ROO 42s that seem to look good on paper that meet my criteria. Curious how YOU would go. Considering trading a few Rolexes for one AP
Hello AP Forum. I'm considering (upon my return home in a few months) selling/trading the following pieces for a 15450 (37mm), preferably used still under warranty. This watch has mesmerized COMPLETELY.14060 (Sub 2 Line)16060 (Sub Date)Adding cash I was going to spend on a Rolex DJ 6-7kHave I completely lost my mind? I am open to someone speaking some common sense into me, PLEASE. I was originally going to purchase a DJ for my dress watch, but have been staring/drooling over the 15450 for the last 48 hours. I own an SD, so the Sub bug will still be satiated, and I also have a Pepsi and Explorer, so I will still have variety. However, I feel the AP would bring a completely different element to my watch family. Would you all recommend buying NIB from a trusted seller here, or LNIB with some warranty left so I can potentially get the third year warranty via AP, also from a trusted seller?Lastly, correct me if I'm wrong, but the 15450 only comes in a white dial right? That's okay if it doe
Patek 5167 price consideration (Sell rolexes for a 5167?)
Hi guys.I know the topic may be discussed before.I consider to sell off some of my new Rolex++ to acquire a PP or a AP. I have had AP 15300. Very nice watch, however, it was not 100% new and I needed cash at that time. Now, I tend to like new watches since I am getting older and consider to keep my watches - mainly Rolexes. Is it a good idea to sell new SubC 114060 and a nice VC Overseas 42042 + add cash to acquire a PP5167 or a AP15450? (My other Rolexes are keepers, since SubC is easiest to get again later.)5711 is better compred with 15450, however, the price of the 5711 is insane. How can PP price 5167 with rubber and less complicated case more than 15450 (and the 15400)? The 324 is less complicated than 3120 as well. Yes, both movements have their own issues (Non hacking, date change issue vs jumping min hands when time set, 3Hz). Just because the brand name? I know PP sounds better than AP, but how can we defend a rubber 316L steel watch with less complicated movement costs more t
