Patrizzi & Co. June 15 NYC Auction Highlights World Time Pieces
World Time watches and clocks are collector favorites. Along with dual-time watches, these timepieces are particularly relevant in this era of global interaction. For its June 15 sale in New York, Patrizzi & Co Auctioneers will present a selection of “World Time” men’s and women’s wristwatches, pocket watches and clocks, along with other collector-level timepieces. More than 200 timepieces, including the World Times, will be offered in the auction, with two sessions at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the company’s gallery on the sixth floor of 595 Madison Avenue. A three-day Silent Sale of an additional 150 to 200 watches will be held from Saturday, June 12, to Monday, June 14.“World Time clocks and wristwatches eloquently capture a geographic history of the world,” said Osvaldo Patrizzi, president and chief executive officer of Patrizzi & Co. “These timepieces preserve the evolution of timekeeping and international capitals, going back to
Ceramic Diver watch plots
I truly love my Audemars Ceramic DiverSometimes however I wonder however if I would like a more uniform look with respect to the watch plots if they came in black ceramic or darker titanium.Does anyone know if these plots are available?I called the Miami Boutique and they stated there are no AP options for this watch. Perhaps aftermarket? Thanks!
watch info
Hi allBeen an avid watch buyer for some time. Probably can't be described as a collector since I buy purely what I like and don't really consider value in the long term etc just buy for my pleasure and I'm too tight to sell them. Couldnt face someone offering me a pitance for something that is or was my pride and joy..Currently have quite a nice assortment.Rolex GMT Ceramic half gold, Panerai 251 (just purchased) Omega 50 year speedy, planet ocean chrono, omega constellation, couple of Rado's, 2 TAG's and some other odds and sods.Yes quite a diverse mixture but all worn frequently and sadly abused.Anyway over the last couple of years wife have been getting more interested in what I've picked out for her and surprise surprise recent she pulled out an old ladies Omega from the bottom of her jewellery box.She got this back in 1970 it is so small I couldn't believe it. Rectangular about 10mm by 7mm so small. It's on a replacement bracelet so don't know hat it should be.She got this from he
Shame on goldsmiths
Apparently ADs ate now told by Rolex not to verify the authenticity of watches Right couple of Charlies in goldsmiths nottingham (steer clear)My friend has recently bought a 1992 yachtmaster yellow gold online and with no crown on the glass and less than 2.5% mag on the date window we took a trip in to ask their opinion!Empty shop No sports models on offerWe told the woman in there that it had been bought online and wondered if they wouldn't mind having a look at it....met with the ARROGANCE of a MANU fan from the late 1990s You should NEVER buy on line because the ONLY way to 100% verify is to send to rolex....even companies like watchfinder can't verify watches properly . Only buy from an AD....She took out an eyeglass and looked at it in a id just LOVE to tell you it's fake' kinda way and said that it's against rolex policy to tell if it's real or notBloke said there was no way of verifying without sending off....I said so you're telling me that if I came in here with my sub to se
