Itay Noy DiaLOG Watch
For 2012 Israeli watch maker Itay Noy does it again with an interesting timepiece design that both intrigues and confuses a bit. It is called the DiaLOG watch and according to the brand offers more than one way of reading the time (it took me a little while to find just one of them). I have to say that in the scheme of busy and confusing dials, this is one of the most attractive ones out there! The case design of the DiaLOG is carried over from models such as the X-Ray from last year. The dial is what is new - as well as the crown. Itay Noy increased the size of the crown to better accommodate winding the manually-wound Swiss ETA Unitas 6498-1 mechanical movement. The movement offers the time with subsidiary seconds and should be visible through a sapphire crystal display?on the back of the watch. For the dial, Itay Noy designed a five layer design that has discs instead of hands and a series of colors and levels. There will actually be four distinct DiaLOG watch versions - each with a d
Couple pics of some stuff I tried on yesterday
I apologize in advance for the bad cell phone pics, the champagne got the best of me at the boutique. I have to say though the new seamaster felt really good on my wrist. Almost had a hard time putting my Rolex back on after trying on all the Omegas. I can't wait until they're for sale.
Thoughts of 5134? Also, thoughts on 5134g vs 5134p
I really want a dual zone watch but need a dress watch more than another casual watch, so leaning away from 5164. Does anyone own, or used to own, a 5134? I'm thinking of buying one from grey market but was hoping to get some feedback as I've never seen it in person. As a secondary question, for those that have seen both, which do you prefer, the 5134p (dauphine hands with skeleton home time hour hand) or the 5134g (traditional black Patek hands with white gold home time hour hand)? Thanks in advance!
Interested in a Panerai
Hey guys, I've decided my next move will be to expand my collection outside of Rolex. I've settled on 3 pieces max, and would like one of those pieces to be a Panerai. I really don't know much about the various Panerai models so I figured here would be a good place to start. So far I have: Rolex GMT 16710 Coke bezel I would like:Breitling Superocean Heritage 42 black dial on rubber. Panerai??????A little about me: I'm pretty casual; jeans and t-shirt to work, casual athletic wear outside of work. I don't have a huge wrist, so I think the max size I could do is 45mm. I very rarely dress up, so dressy watches are not my taste. In terms of Panerai styling, I really enjoy painted numerals (vs sandwich) and gold hands. I'm not fussy on a glass case back, nor do I need a seconds hand or date (but don't mind either)I really enjoy the tobacco brown dials Panerai puts out but I would also be okay with a black dial. I would prefer automatic over manual wind but it's not a deal breaker. I already
Dial change on my DJ.
My 1601 currently has a black stick dial but I'd like to change it over to a white stick dial. What is the best way to go about doing this or is it even possible? Would I need to send it to RSC or are there others the forum could recommend ?
