Richard Mille Introduces Americas-Only RM 030 Limited Edition
Richard Mille, which has had success with other limited-edition watches made exclusively for the Americas including models in its RM 011, RM 016 and RM 028 lines has unveiled another, called the RM 030 Americas. The watch follows up the previous Americas-only RM 030 Black Out and Black Rose limited editions. The watch, of which only 30 pieces will be made, and on sale exclusively in Richard Mille boutiques and authorized retailers in North and South America, is distinguished by its bright orange upper flange, crown protector and hands, which contrast with the black nanotube carbon case. On the dial, the numerals and date aperture are white. The RM 030's automatic movement is Richard Mille's Caliber RMAR1, introduced in the original, unlimited RM 030 model in 2011, whose signature feature is an innovative declutchable rotor. Introducing the Longines Heritage Diver, Another Throwback That Hits The Mark
Longines continues to focus on its Heritage line with the addition of a new Diver model, drawing inspiration from similar Longines watches from the 1970s. Like the Conquest Heritage released in Basel earlier this year, the Heritage Diver is an accurate homage to what you find in the brand's past, with the addition of more contemporary movements. The Heritage Diver will be offered in both chronograph and three-hand configurations, and each recalls its vintage counterpart to great effect. 2 OF 4 Both the Heritage Diver and Diver Chronograph feature ETA movements made specifically for Longines, referred to as the caliber L663.5 for both. This likely means an ETA 2824-2 and the addition of a module for the chronograph. They share a case as well, which is period-correct with a 43mm cushion shape. The multi-faceted bezel ring frames what looks to be a raised sapphire crystal to further enhance the throwback feeling.? 3 OF 4 The Diver Chronograph bears a remarkable

Omegas London 2012 Countdown Clock Stops Working 499 Days Early
ouch! Omega's London 2012 Countdown Clock Stops Working 499 Days Early2011-03-15 17:52:22.378 GMTBy Danielle Rossingh March 15 (Bloomberg) -- A giant digital clock counting down to the London 2012 Olympics built on Trafalgar Square by Swiss luxury watch maker Omega has stopped working 499 days too early. The steel countdown clock had been unveiled yesterday to mark 500 days before the opening ceremony on July 27 by London Mayor Boris Johnson, chairman of the London organizing committee Sebastian Coe and four British Olympic gold medalists. Today, the 6.5 meter (21-foot) high clock stopped working at 500 days, 7 hours, 6 minutes, 56 seconds. Omega is the official timekeeper of the Games. We are obviously disappointed that the clock has suffered this technical issue, Omega said in an e-mailed statement. The clock had been fully tested before being installed on the square in central London, it added. Omega, which is owned by the world's biggest watchmaker Swatch G
