James Bond 007 Spectre Movie Gets First Watch: Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra > 15,007 Gauss
15,007 Gauss')">In anticipation of the new James Bond 007 movie, Spectre, out later this year, Omega, the official watch of James Bond, has debuted a new James Bond-themed timepiece with the limited edition Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra > 15,007 Gauss. Here we have a pleasantly subtle 007 watch based on the wildly popular? Omega Aqua Terra > 15,000 that we reviewed here last year. The most distinctive elements of the new limited edition > 15,007 Gauss watch is the special colors as well as the use of the James Bond family coat-of-arms. 15,007 Gauss')">The fictional character's coat-of-arms can be seen from the below screen shot taken from 007: In Her Majesty's Secret Service. The coat-of-arms is used to tile the blue-colored face of the > 15,007 watch, as well as for the counter-weight of the seconds hand. Also, there is a special automatic rotor design visible through the sapphire crystal caseback on the rear of the watch case. 15,007 Gauss')">What made the original Omega Se
Bring a Loupe: An Extraordinary Royal Oak, A Familiar Universal Geneve, And Many Amazing Chronograph
This week's Bring A Loupe will be all about amazing vintage watches, featuring many of my absolute favorites, soon to become yours too. You will discover a Royal Oak in platinum, some of the greatest pre-Daytona chronographs from Rolex, and plenty of mythical Movado, LeCoultre, and Universal Geneve watches as well. In my auction picks I also identified two questionable lots, but rest assured that the other pieces will more than make for the early disappointment. This is your Bring a Loupe for July 24, 2015. A Very, Very Rare Royal Oak Jumbo In PLATINUM 1 OF 16 This might be the ultimate Royal Oak, we did warn you four years ago. It looks almost like any other regular Royal Oak Jumbo until you focus on the dial. Surprise, the traditional tapisserie pattern is gone but there is a good reason: this Royal Oak is in PLATINUM! This model was intended as a celebration piece for the 125th anniversary of Audemars Piguet but it met with very limited enthusiasm back in 19
Thinking of making the move from Rolex to AP.... Thoughts?
Hey TRF,I've always appreciated the opinions from you guys and how helpful TRF can be Well, long story short I'm thinking of buying my first AP! I've always been a Rolex guy and have never owned any other swiss watch, but after selling my 116710 GMT2c, I'm thinking about buying the SS AP Diver. I've really been longing for a strap watch, especially here in Hawaii here the humidity can really make wearing an un-adjustable watch uncomfortable from the cool mornings to hot afternoons, and the AP Diver seems to complement my lifestyle being in the ocean and swimming quite a bit. I've done some research, but I just wanted to ask some questions and hear your thoughts:- I know and have read that the Diver wears bigger than 42mm which is a concern for me, as my wrists are around 6.3-6.4 inches. I'm 6 feet tall, but a more slender build at 180 lbs. I've always thought that 40mm is my limit for watches as I don't want to own something that will overwhelm my wrist, but I've realllllly been lustin
Incoming--first panerai
Got it yesterday, but just unboxed it this morning. Looking forward to wearing it to work today. Pumped about it. Very Classic look, feels great on wrist. Cheers!
Travel case any suggestions?
I don't have a lot of watches currently only two but im hoping to build it up eventually anyway looking for a decent travel case so i could travel with at least two or more watches. whats your suggestion? btw please note that my wrist is small just imagine i have 10 links on the 16570 & same on the Speedmaster. please not that those watch boxes with large pillows or inserts won't let close my clasp watch box suggestions are also welcome
